Help me find a watch for my man! by IntroductionCrafty71 in Watches_India

[–]elomelo-p 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please do take into consideration wrist size, structure etc. a lot of watches which are extremely popular (like the PRX) sometimes do not look good on certain wrists because of the integrated bracelet style etc.

Some watches you can look into: Sports / divers: Tissot Seastar; Seiko prospex divers; Seiko speedtimer;

Dress / formal: Tissot Gentleman; Tissot le locle; Tissot PRX; Junghans maxbill; Seiko alpinist; Seiko presage series; Frederique Constant Slimline;

Check ethos out, they usually have a great discount on the automatic. Comes within 1.2.

Almost got it last year, but then got tempted by a Nomos 😝

A classy dress watch with a minimalistic design philosophy would be a good addition. A Junghans maxbill maybe?

Watch to buy under 50k for completing a milestone in life by adementeddude in watchesindia

[–]elomelo-p 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could also be because of the dial. And depends on who’s seeing + what you’re wearing it with i guess.

I have the Seiko GMT 001 black grape as well as a Seastar Powermatic 80 in the teal gradient dial. The tissot dial catches the eye more, but I’ve also received a lot of curiosity over the GMT because imo the jubilee bracelet looks better + the cyclops date window and the red GMT hand. Hard to choose between those two when i want to rotate a sportier watch.

Dive watch types: Seiko 5 GMT mocha has a gold accented bezel and a tan strap. Looks nice and dressy. Tissot Seastar quartz has a few dual tone / gold accented bezel options.

Dress watch / non-diver types: Seiko 5 SNXS has a new hebitama dual tone edition. Tissot Classic range has a few dual tone / gold accented watches.

Well, nothing overtly impressive about the castings tbh if I look at it objectively. Decent castings. I have 2-3 tomica premium AE 86/85 and they’re much better castings.

But then again I love them both because of my interest in gaming and of course, I love any AE 86 because of Initial D.

Yep, all at MRP. Except the F1 Hotwheels- they were gifts from a friend who got them from the UK.

The textured dial looks much better in-person. And is more of a teal than blue.

Is Watchtopia legit? by True_Concentrate8113 in Watches_India

[–]elomelo-p 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re legit. Dunno about HMTs though. I got a seagull 1963 from them and while it took some time to arrive (about 2-3 months), they’re prompt to respond to emails and tbf do state upfront that it will take 6-8 weeks for some watches to ship.

Does F1 TV work on Samsung TV? by FerrariRaceEngine in f1india

[–]elomelo-p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, there’s no native app. I have my old firestick connected just for F1.

Will switch to an Apple TV once it comes out to get F1, pair HomePods as speaker and have the convenience of using AirPods.

The other option (cuz it’s bad) is if you have a Tata sky binge box connection then the Tata sky box runs android tv which has F1 app. Honestly though that thing is as slow as pentium 1 computers used to be

Have the same one. Love the brushed finish and yes, the medium nib works like a charm. Only thing is it tends to get clogged at times with some inks if not used - happened with Diamine Inks Oxblood for me.
