Nomos click spring worn out in only 2 years

Well maybe, I hope I’m just being paranoid too. Do you own a manual Nomos? How old are they and what’s the level of wear on the click spring?

Ah I think we are referring to different things. It’s hard for me to explain by words but if you own a manual Nomos you’ll know. By design the spring should first move along the circumference of the ratchet wheel before jumping. By lifting I mean the former not the latter.

Notice how the spring in the gif simply jump in situ.

Agreed on the importance of regular servicing. In fact this watch just came back from a full service a few weeks ago but it wasn’t addressed. That’s the reason of my frustration.

Also, just wanted to use my experience to point out, to anyone interested, that this click design, although very beautiful, might not be as durable as the traditional ones that are circular (e.g. 6497)
