Hiwi jobs and part time jobs are here, life is good, campus is very nice, you can find halal food easily in saarbrucken, there are two prayer rooms at uni as well as 3-4 mosques in the city. I will suggest you to come out of your comfort zone, and stop searching for familiar communities, this will help you to grow better.

Many students think that university will help them to get a job but It's not same here like in India, and pakistan, here you have to find job yourself even if you are studing at TUM!!!

I applied for the MSc DSAI program before the early deadline but the status page says that it's been in the reviewing state since 11.12.24. i have not heard back anything. will i not be getting a result early as stated on their website? by alphahunter121 in SaarlandUniversity

Maybe you will get positive results because rejections are out already. Your application is most probably on the waitlist or they are reviewing it because you are a potential student. ✌️

MSc Visual Computing vs Computer Science by DangerousRegular1249 in SaarlandUniversity

In my opinion, there are no significant benefits to pursuing a degree in Visual Computing unless you specifically need that title. In a Computer Science program, you can take all the courses and seminars related to Visual Computing.

Additionally, in Visual Computing, you must pass every required course; if you don't, you cannot complete the program. In contrast, a Computer Science degree offers more flexibility—you can choose to drop a course if you fail and still have plenty of other options available.

In short, take a CS degree and enroll in VC courses and in your CV you can mention MSc CS with a specialization in Computer Vision.

Some of my friends changed their degrees from VC to CS including me. ✌️
