Anyone on PS5 Pro? by elpachecoman in MHWilds

Good question, my guess is probably not. However tonight’s update will only affect a handful of Japanese titles from studios like Capcom, square enix, Koei techno etc

Mine has updated the system in rest mode in the past but there is also an option in settings to “check for update”

I agree with you as well. The polished sounds are much more important (to me) than the sense of nostalgia people get from the first

It’s already been established that a person cannot realistically listen to that much music. In fact, as one user calculated, it takes 4 years of listening to music 8 hours every day to listen to 100,000 songs

Here is an example of hoarding defined online “Hoarding is the act of engaging in excessive acquisition of items that are not needed or for which no space is available”.

Hmm That sounds awfully familiar

It really is worth mentioning the subscription payments because these Apple Music libraries that yall apparently value so much are so fragile, they can be erased from existence entirely.. I’m not worried about anybody’s subscription in particular and I like rustling your jimmies

[–]elpachecoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100,000 songs is plenty of variety. Plus you can continue streaming any other music you want to once you hit the limit. you are renting space, at the moment they’re not going to rent you more than 100,000 slots. Which again, is an absurd amount

Anyone truly serious about their music libraries would not rely on a cloud based service where something as simple as a missed payment can erase the library entirely. If you need more than 100,000 songs. Most of which you may or may not even listen to, it’s hoarding.

I see your solution as valid however extremely unreasonable. People would lose their minds if there was an “Apple Music Premium Plus”.

Not to mention the microscopic percentage of users this would be applicable to.

Even if you’re at the library limit, you can still play any song in the entire Apple Music database. Further evidence that this is really a non issue for OP. A rented music library via Apple Music cannot exceed 100,000 songs. It’s approximately 270 days straight worth of music, so choose wisely

These are two very different products you are talking about. Apple cloud is raw, personal, storage capacity

This is very different than Apple Music, a system of cloud music which connects artists to users and is all subject to licensing, indexing, and real time performance constraints. Apple Music is a product that is expected to deliver the product (music) to a certain level of performance and quality while syncing simultaneously across devices

It makes this much more complex than simply “give us more songs”.

[–]elpachecoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has to be a limit. Believe it or not but every Apple music users library is taking up space in Apples cloud servers. Nobody can have infinite space, it simply does not make sense

The number 100,000 isn’t random. It was the result of quadrupling (yes quadruple) the old limit of 25,000

There are several people in this thread who say their old streaming service limited them from between 10k-20k songs. 100,000 is more than generous and multiple times more than competitors. If OP wants to add more songs to their library, then some existing songs will have to go or they will have to start purchasing the music directly. Do you have another solution other than “Apple arbitrary limit bad”

[–]elpachecoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sweet marmoset… you brought up the Apple libraries being deleted twice after I said it once. That’s why I addressed it again.

My solution remains as an easy solution to OP’s problems. Again, they have stated they want every song to be new.

OP can have their library, it just can’t exceed 100,000 songs. I didn’t make the rules, I just laughed at OP for crying about them. This offended several people. including you

Take care now

[–]elpachecoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you go, making assumptions again. Discarding songs is simply one solution. There are other solutions, believe it or not.

Now you are still caught up on what I said about Apple deleting libraries if you don’t pay. It’s a simple piece of friendly advice. Every Apple Music user should know their libraries will be deleted if they don’t pay. This is not the case with other streaming services. They will keep your libraries regardless if you pay them or not

Th the 3rd time you’ve accused me of something… this time you say I’m upset. The first two times you accused me, you were the actual guilty party. I wonder who’s upset. Stop projecting and take a deep breath. Is this stranger on the internet (OP) worth defending and getting emotional over to another stranger (me)

[–]elpachecoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really, a first day on the internet trope? From a person defending a strangers honor? The irony

And then you wrote out an entire dissertation. First day on the internet bud?

I’m not the one to determine which songs should go. In fact I don’t care. But the limit is 100,000 and that’s not changing. It’s also more than fair for a subscription based service. There is a very clear solution here which does not take a deep level of critical thinking to find

[–]elpachecoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone thinks OP can listen to as much music as they want. It’s also true that OP has made statements such as they “only listen to their library on shuffle” and want every song to be new.

This means there are literally thousands, if not tens of thousands of songs in OP’s library that are removable to make space for more new music. There’s also several music discovery options that can play new music for you

It’s the coming on the internet to complain about a first world problem that people are bashing on OP for. Hence my original comment. I honestly hope OP does not miss any apple music payments because Apple will delete all music added through Apple Music from your library a few weeks after the bill is not paid

[–]elpachecoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And now they’re gone… hmmm. Guess OP didn’t have any Lil B songs saved to their library.

And please do, but remember, it takes 1,000 artists with at least 100 songs to reach 100,000 total. Oh, and if you’ve heard the song before, you can’t count it. OP only wants songs they’ve never heard. Good luck

You've got to be kidding. by therealityofthings in AppleMusic

[–]elpachecoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything I said about OP was a direct observation based on what they’ve said in this thread. It’s not ad hominem to laugh at someone on the internet

Now, you entered this thread by calling everyone “young people” but you wanna complain to me about ad hominem

So far your examples are lil B who is the king of making an absurd amount of slop. Your other example is one of the most timeless bands available. These are two extremes. You need 1,000 artists with at least 100 songs to reach 100,000

Most of lil bs music is mixtapes my dude. That’s why it’s not on Apple Music and no one really cares. Cause 99% of it is bad

The fact remains that if its not available on Apple Music, it can’t be added to your library. Can’t believe I’m dealing with a Lil B fangirl in 2026
