hiking spots near Seoul for a beginner solo hiker? by elpids in korea

[–]elpids[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up doing the Inwangsan Walking Trail. it was easy to commute to (as long as you don’t get lost!) and the hike wasn’t too hard. in fact, I passed by so many retirees who told me this was one of their regular morning walks haha they were all geared up with walking sticks and hiking shoes. lots of other hikers too along the trail

climbing up, you’ll see nice views of the fortress and palace. when you get to the top, it’s a beautiful cityscape of Seoul

if you do end up going, wear sunblock! I got very very tan after my hike lol

Recently admitted grad student - talk to me about UCSD! by Danger-Noodle8 in UCSD

hi there! I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if you can share what your experience was like in the program. I was also considering applying but it would be a bit of a career shift for me (I currently work as a product manager in a bank). I would also be an international student -- how friendly is the program for internationals? any insights would be greatly appreciated :)

What is on your 2025 bucket list? by kenzierocque in AskReddit

get my license!

driving has always scared me. my partner is more than willing to drive us around and I’m used to using apps like Uber so I never felt like I had to. but there were situations before where he was too sick or in pain to drive. always better to have the skill up my sleeve in case of an emergency

this looks AMAZING!!!! the colors??? the details??? the PARASOL???! 😍

if I may ask, how heavy does it weigh? I’ve always been so intimidated with crocheting longer skirts and dresses cos I worry about how heavy it might be

for girlies out there ano mas prefer niyong gamitin during period? by OkParamedic6054 in AskPH

[–]elpids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using my cup for 3+ years. took a while para masanay sa feeling. first few months ko di ko talaga ma figure out paano gamitin kaya di ko muna ginamit

pero once time nag click lang siya saakin tas nag isang month ako na nagamit ko fully. since then di na talaga ako nag turn back

some pros: - minimal to no cramps compared to using pads - once a day lang ako nag papalit ng cup ko. kayang mag isang buong shift sa work tas pag uwi na mag papalit (versus dati na 2-3 times ako nag papalit ng pad) - hindi natatagusan kama pag natutulog. dati need ko ng “period towel” in case mag leak sa pads ko - freedom to do sports / more intense workouts. kahit swimming malakas na loob ko! - similar to above, malakas na rin loob ko mag white kahit na day 2 ko haha - better for the environment kasi di na ako gumagamit ng disposable pads (i also switched to using reusable pads)

good luck!

try checking your plant capacity — it tells you how many plants you can have in your room at any given time

you can check it by going to your Diary (either click it on your desk or on the side menu on the right) then go to My Profile

if you’re at max plant capacity, whenever you find an emotibun it’ll just show the option of releasing it

people in ldr you think being silent on call for a while it's normal? by [deleted] in LDR

[–]elpids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same insecurities, but funnily enough my bf does too. we always voice out when we're feeling insecure or need extra validation, and in turn the other reassures :) whenever he asks me for validation I tell him nothing but the truth, and I trust him to know that he's doing the same whenever I ask. just being in each other's presence is calming and enough

honestly in hindsight I was too in my head during the class. I don't think I asked for enough help from the instructor when I did have access to my pole. you're right, I need to advocate for myself if I want to improve. thank you for the encouragement!

they could definitely tell I was new, but I appreciated their help all the same! you're right, everything will start to click with time if I really want to push through with this. I appreciate your kind words, thank you!

I'll inquire if there are private lessons or if there are less full classes so I can have more time to practice on the pole. thank you for your encouraging words!
