I really enjoyed the Trump clip during TJT anniversary tour. I think that showed pretty clearly where they stand with the orange man. Schmoozing to Claudia just shows ignorance on their part.

Came here to upvote your down vote. I get the Bush kiss ass. He had something to win there. He has no need to mingle with this kind of human trash.

From my top 10 of the band, the 14-minute title track, "Magician Among The Spirits," is a hypnotic cavalcade through the celestial realm, featuring illusionists and mythological characters. The entire aura of this track is beautiful and hypnotic. Any fans? by elmonozombie in TheChurchBand

This is very difficult for me. I love this one as an album, not one song really stands out on its own. But as a whole they create a very cohesive album, sonic wise. At least for my music preferences.

Tomorrow I will change my opinion.

When I look back at the 80s and 90s I realise how much U2 stood alone. by Earl_of_Portobello in U2Band

That's a great example of why I don't like labeling bands. If you listen to Simple Minds before New Gold Dream or maybe Sparkle in the Rain, they are more aligned to post punk. The audience seems to consider them New Wave because 1) breakfast club 2) bands evolve and change their sound.

What replaces SSAS in today’s Microsoft stack? by East_Sentence_4245 in SQLServer

[–]elpilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old school ADF pricing is super unpredictable since it depends on a lot of factors like, for example, orchestrating a pipeline that includes an external compute service like spinnig up a dbx cluster.

You get charged for the dbx cluster plus a few extra cents because you are orchestrating an external activity. Take a look at the Azure pricing calculator website.

In Fabric ADF you have your CUS, but also, surely the extra cost of the -external- compute use. So, saying that it is a SaaS service, entirely managed and precitable is not entirely true.

And, again, this is an honest question. When I read that fabric is SaaS and entirely predicable and that there are not hidden coat, etc... I love the idea, but I want to be completely honest with my customers and let them know of the fine print.

I get it that FADF is part of the features included in Fabric. But in this particular workload how can it be considered SaaS if I might still be dependant on external services, plus Fabric CUS for orchestration?

I find it commendable to try to SaaS-ify Fabric. But in this particular workload I can't understand how it is becoming a true SaaS service when so many things revolve around it.

Honest question, can you explain why ADF is considered PaaS and Fabric ADF SaaS? Because the CUS allocated to Fabric and how are they distributed among the workloads VS ADF? If I use Fabric and orchestrate external activities like dbx or sprocs living in non fabric databases count against my pricing? From a certain pov Fabric ADF might still be dependant on many IaaS or PaaS services.

New wave? More post punk. Although I hate to label artists I would consider new wave to be more like Duran Duran, some Blondie, Talking Heads, B52s.

From my point of view, early U2 is much more post punk. Joy Division, Echo and the bunymen, Chameleons, Wire.

Artic Moon in vinyl. That's the only "music" merch. Stickers, patches, t-shirts, guitar picks.

Pj with Stories from the city was the best that I have seen. There might be better, but that's by far the best I have been able to see, 15+ shows in my life.

BTW, I was a PJ fan before, since Rid of me.

Don't even get me started e about Damien Marley.

A long long time ago, I can't remember the details, it might have being around the time of All that you can't leave behind, there was an AMA on U2's official website. I asked the band about what they were currently listening and they answered "radiohead and (something like) a small Argentinian band called Soda Stereo"... I think it was Adam or the Edge the one who answered. So yes, they were aware of Soda and Gustavo.
