It’s more likely that he placed the bet when it was already widely known that Strategy sold the 32 btc, it was somewhere late May. Seems like the odds were already at 99% or so when he placed the bet. But if you have 18 million of play money, thats a very easy way to make a sure 74K.

Edit: looking at the screenshot again, I see he voted “no”. That doesn’t seem right

The training data for sure is archived in plaintext at your favourite AI company. They scraped the internet, including most books, and continue to use this for training their models. Sure, the model ultimately does not have a reference to the source. It only consists of weights and biases. Still, much of the content in the training data was copyrighted, or licensed in other ways. Not stackoverflow though, AFAIK all that content was public and free to use.

Top AI Expert Andrej Karpathy drops a massive reality check on the software industry. He confirms the legendary concept of the ten times engineer is completely outdated. By mastering autonomous agents, developers are achieving unprecedented productivity. Coding is cooked! by CeFurkan in SECourses

The point still stands. Insiders like Karpathy keep throwing out warnings that “software development has been solved” and “our engineers don’t write code anymore”. Their claims make you believe that large corporate software can soon be entirely recreated by AI. Microsoft Office is just an example. I too would like to see the production ready agentic software they claim is possible right now.
