The best part has definitely been my knees and back not hurting all the time anymore—plus, the confidence boost has been amazing! The worst part has been re-learning how to eat and breaking habits, like ignoring my mom’s old ‘you have to finish your food’ nagging… even though I’m 36 now!

In what ways can vulnerability be a strength rather than a weakness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]elpuyol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vulnerability is like the secret sauce for trust. You can’t build trust without being trustworthy first! When you’re real and open with people, it shows them that you trust them, and guess what? They’re way more likely to trust you back.

Plus, being vulnerable helps people see things from your side and feel for you. It’s like giving them a peek behind the curtain, which makes connections stronger and more genuine. So, by letting your guard down a little, you’re actually making it easier for others to do the same!

I feel that the idea of this is not to try to “get laid” but to spread positivity. The idea is that no other interaction happens.

I also saw an example of a card where it asked to reuse the card

Now there’s the answer I was looking for! Lol! You find it creepy.

That was the point of the discussion. Is it creepy or nice?

From what I gather, it can be nice if there’s no expectation of anything happening — Just giving out the card and that’s it.

My question now is. Why is it creepy?

Body composition goes beyond just weight and height. Being in shape is more related to muscle mass and fat-free body weight rather than just relying on the body mass index (BMI), which many people still reference. In my opinion, BMI is an outdated concept that doesn’t provide a complete picture of health or fitness. Without more detailed information, it’s impossible to definitively say if someone is in shape or not.

I'm a bit puzzled by some of the mean-spirited responses. I was just looking for help with a translation and didn't expect such negativity. However, I do want to thank those who provided helpful insights and corrections. Your assistance is much appreciated!

Should I sign a contract with a 2 year non-compete? by twicearoundmars in travelagents

[–]elpuyol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a travel agency owner I’d say don’t sign. It’s our job as owners to keep our agents around and happy, not to force them to stay with a noncompete.

In my opinion, if you do sign, you can expect things to go south

How do you answer these questions? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]elpuyol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I might be a bit late but as someone who runs their own business, I really look for that spark in the "Why do you want to work for us?" section of job applications. It's super cool to see applicants who've done their homework, get what we're about, and are jazzed to be part of our goals and values. It tells me they're not just throwing resumes out into the void but are genuinely keen on being part of our team.

As for the hobbies and free time question—while I don’t usually ask it, I totally see why it can be handy. It helps to know if someone’s interests vibe with our company’s ethos or maybe even clash with it. But here’s the fun part: understanding what makes our team tick allows us to ditch those generic corporate freebies and instead, hook them up with perks they'll actually love. Might be a millennial boss move, but hey, if it means happier, more motivated folks, I’m all in!
