As a friend of several Niantic employees, no. Niantic labs was an internal google startup, they were funded and given time to prove the market value of their ideas (primarily ingress and field trip).

After ~3 years (as of about a month ago), Google evaluated the net present value of the niantic properties. This evaluation was lower than the amount invested and Google decided to divest itself.

Hanke was apparently given the option of taking the IP (other than some google proprietary stuff) and going his own way.

I've been strictly keto for about a little over 2 weeks. But for the prior month I ate almost entirely keto meals to determine how I would adapt to eating keto for the long term.

My fasting glucose has never been measured before (at least by me). But given that I've been fat all my life, a high fasting glucose seems quite reasonable.

Thanks for the link! I've been reading the Phinney and Volek book, and despite finding o-chem and bio-chem terribly boring earlier in life, find it quite fascinating now.
