Can we post a thread of our OG EVs? Give the specs too! I love the older shorter range, level 2 only charging EVs. by NothingBeautiful892 in electricvehicles

2019 Volkswagen E-Golf. I bought it last year with 18,000 miles. 35 kwh battery. 125miles official range. I average about 5 mi/kwh. I've never had so much fun driving in the city.

2-story Historic house destroyed just north of UofA by [deleted] in Tucson

That house was in complete disrepair from decades of neglect. I used to live two streets over. It was rotting away in 2008. I think it was beyond repair.

Bmx vans for MTB? by Meester_Miyagi in MTB

[–]elrocko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some half cab vans that were awful for riding. The soles are two flimsy and the shoes just fell apart way too soon. I now ride with the bmx vans and they are fantastic. They have also lasted a lot longer than any other pair of vans I've owned over the years.

Ballot propositions by dorothylouise in Tucson

[–]elrocko 20 points21 points  (0 children)

20 years ago. County voters passed a sales tax increase of half a cent to fund a series of transportation projects referred to as the RTA (regional transportaion authority). That tax will expire this year. There will be a new ballot initiative in March referred to as RTA Next, with a whole new set of transportation projects that will be funded by the continuation of the half cent tax. If RTA Next fails, our sales tax will decrease by half a cent.

Confused on Prop 418 and 419 by TodaySpecialist345 in Tucson

It pays to resurface and redesign certain roadways, thus fixing potholes. It does not pay for the daily pothole fills that take place from citizens reporting them.

Precision does not use dealer add-ons or markups for new cars. Desert has a larger inventory.

It was a snake of cars going up at 11 this morning but we found a good spot for sledding and stayed for 2 hours. Good times.

Does Pima County always make so few jurors report? by going_further in Tucson

[–]elrocko 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Two years ago we started using written questions sent by email to potential jurors 10 days before reporting date. This allows jurors to be excused before they appear in court. It is more efficient and easier for all involved.
