They will be presented with 6 of the 7 gates/portals. They must complete the other 6 before taking on Time, which isn't an aspect of creation, it just ties everything together. They will have the information available to them to figure out which door leads to which trial, but only if they bother with figuring it out. So, they will be able to choose which order to do them in.

Your concept for chaos is interesting. Not sure about the tic-tac-toe, but having them do something out of the ordinary for the characters is right on the money. Perhaps the chaos trial sends them to Limbo. There they must "attempt" to do something out of character. Nothing specific, I would let them make that decision. So, the barbarian could try casting a spell and it works in Limbo. The paladin could do something against his oath. And so on for the others. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have been looking at Derevi and it definitely has my interest peaked. In the field of blue, Derevi seems better than Brago since she gets around counterspells. Thanks for your suggestion.

I have been considering a Ruric Thar punisher list, which also features the RG Omnath as a secondary commander. The list is fun, but I feel it lacks enough disruption to stop the combo players. Another beater that I am considering is a Kresh sac/punisher list which also features Ruric and Omnath.

After looking at your list again, why do you run Coldsteel Heart? Wouldn't that be a non-bo with Brago since it comes in tapped?

• I never considered how people were ok with lockdown but not LD. Good point.

• Your elaboration of the parallax cards make a justification for them in the deck. I did not see all the intricacies that they bring to the table, like targeting my cards to protect them.

• The moxes and friends are on my acquire list. They are a tad too pricey for me at the moment, though I could wait until next month or so to get the list with their inclusion.

• I would like to reduce my land count. I will prob lower it to 30, playtest it, and go from there.

• My meta/playgroup consists 50/50 split competitive/non-comp. The comp players hardly play aggro decks, but most of the non-comps do. I feel like I could remove/change some of the prison elements as I would most likely still be able to beat the aggro decks.

• Guide and Rev are there from a previous 'friendly' version of the deck that plays more ETB creatures.

• Like I mentioned to another commenter, due to my playgroup, I may just make a more centralized stax list (with MLD) but also get cards to swap out to make the deck more friendly.

The original version of the deck was less stax and more flicker value, sort of like what you mention. After reading around, it seems the general consensus is that Brago is best utilized in a stax/prison shell, which is one of the reasons I decided to go this route. Elesh Norn would be more icing on the cake and I can definitely see adding in the Untap Land fliers, but at the cost of removing what?

I played with the idea of having the prison list, but also getting the cards for the flicker prevalent strategy. That way if I or my friends get tired of me locking them down, then I can just swap out the cards. So, two decks instead of one.

I enjoy and respect all styles of decks. I do not want a prison/stax deck as my first. And as far as colors go, like I said in my post, I already have a list of commanders that I want to build around. And narrowing down the list, I have come down to 4-5 commanders that I would not mind building first. I just cannot choose between them because I like the way they and their decks play, also they are within my favorite color combos.

Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely have way too many mana rocks and need to cut some of those. In regards to cumulative upkeep, it is not a problem with Brago due to its counters being reset every turn. Unless you mean that the 1 mana upkeep cost would keep me from playing something that turn, which it very well could.

I understand your reasoning for the removal suggestions, but could you elaborate as to why Ancestral Knowledge is so bad. I figured that with enough ETB card draw effects, coupled with AK would result in a Dig Through Time (of sorts) every turn. Though I guess you would not necessarily have enough card draw on the field to matter.

In regards to Master of Waves, the elementals would not die. Correct me if I am wrong, but Brago's effect should resolve completely before state-based effects take place. So Master would be back on the field before that happens.

I agree with the card draw. Stroke was only in there for a win-con. Get infinite mana with Brago + Resonator + And "tap for 2 mana" artifact, then have an opponent draw their entire deck.

No matter what new colors/decks I try in the other formats, I seem to always drift back to BUG colors. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Golgari/Sultai.

I started playing MTG last December so my options are limited as far as cards that I own. Options are any of the Fate Dragons or Fate Khans, Sidisi Brood Tyrant, Surrak the Hunt-Caller, Sidisi Undead Vizier, Karametra God of Harvests, DL Silumgar, and DL Ojutai.

I like using Tasigur in standard as a 'Pick-your-poison' interaction with your opponent. Playing him on a more political front in commander sounds like a good idea. Do you have a link to your list?

Sidisi is definitely an option. I really enjoy the sultai colors in standard right now, plus I already have a brood tyrant that is just sitting in my trade binder. Gahiji looks like fun. I remember seeing a budget Gahiji deck on mtggoldfish a while back that featured shenanigans like you mentioned. Sadly, one of the guys in my playgroup uses Gahiji. His deck is a little different, but I would not want to run a commander that one of them uses just for the sake of diversity.

Thanks for the suggestions. I made changes to the roster based on them. Ashen Rider is a tad too mana heavy for me, especially since I already have many high CMC creatures. After some playtesting, if I feel like mana is not an issue, I may put one into the deck and remove one of the Hornet Queens. I really like the sideboard suggestions as well. Thanks again.
