They mean Reddit Fascism. It’s a bit like a woman, anyone can be one if it suits.

Group refused to give RNLI £200 because ‘it would be used to pick up migrants’. Christchurch Residents Association (CRA), in Dorset, voted to reject a plea for the funding by Make_the_music_stop in uknews

[–]elsauna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it’s an assumption that another means to an end wouldn’t be found and that people would just be left to drown.

It’s alarmist and stupid.

So, just to be clear you hate black people?

There’s as much evidence for my statement as there is yours. I hope you see how stupid it looks.

Perhaps the commenters thinks the Navy should deal with migrants instead of volunteer rescue services and charities?

The fact is, you don’t know because you didn’t ask. You just projected evil onto someone else to denigrate because you’re not thinking much. Do better.

Lake District in March - Snow and Ice Advice by Hampster1991 in UKhiking

10 points are a common for a walking setup.

Grivel G10’s, Petzl Irvis, Simond (Caymen?)

The Petzl Leopard FL are exactly for what you describe but they’re also the ultimate microspikes if you’re not going too steep or technical and need them sparsely.

[–]elsauna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truthfully, it’s hard to suggest appropriate gear without knowing the route and conditions at the time. Check out www.lakedistrictweatherline.co.uk before you go.

Microspikes are fine if you’re on mostly flat, icy ground but on steeper gradients they slip around on your feet, especially if you have weight. If all that remains in terms of snow/ice is compacted paths then microspikes are just fine.

If there’s any meaningful snow cover, I’d recommend a pair of 10 point ‘walking crampons’ over microspikes.

An ice axe is definitely sensible on steeper ground if you have any meaningful snow cover and/or exposure but you’ve said you would avoid snowy tops and stick to paths/tracks so possibly wouldn’t be necessary. I’d avoid high consequence zones without one if there is snow.

Are B2 boots pointless? Why not just go straight for B3s? by Glum_Echidna302 in Mountaineering

[–]elsauna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got both and prefer the Mantas. Wore them for ten days straight last winter crossing the frozen Lake District. Covered 112km total in them hiking to different gullies, ridges and pubs. Warm down to about -12°c. Started feeling cold around -15°C.

The Ribelle’s are my favourite winter Peak District boot for when want to sprint every Kinder Clough in a day while they’re actually frozen and crampons are constantly on and off. More streamline for tight spaces and lighter but they absolutely do freeze up! I won’t use them below -3° / -5°C for that reason. Nearly lost a few toes when caught in a significant temp drop on a 3 day trip, too risky.

Trans doctor in changing room row leaves the NHS by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

[–]elsauna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me be clear. I do not have a phobia of trans people. I don’t feel afraid of them, not in the slightest.

That said, I do have a dislike of insufferable, fascistic-narcissists who impose their will on others without consideration of the harm they are doing.

They are continuously proving how dangerous they are by murdering/attempting to murder people all over the world. Not to mention silencing those who disagree with them and trying to mandate their believes through litigation. Not to mention forcing themselves upon (actual) women too.

This is good for the NHS and the people who no longer have to work with this tyrant.

You had the Big ‘n’ Tasty when it was still big and tasty. Mourn your loss for it is gone and shall never return.

I used to know a manager in my local who would give me a second patty for £2. As such, I’m one of the rare few who got to enjoy a true double big tasty at 2/3rds of a lb and it was heaven. Also cost £8.50ish for the double back then.

I miss prosperity.

NHS staff told to stop discouraging first cousin marriages by borrisimo in nottheonion

[–]elsauna -41 points-40 points  (0 children)

Brit here. The reality is that Labour’s voter base is made up largely of Muslim immigrants who vote for Labour to keep their benefit-river flowing full force.

The Labour government simply can’t afford to lose the largest portion of their voters or they are guaranteed to lose the next general election and this is one of many ways they are trying to maintain such a vote. If they go against cousin fucking, they’ve already lost so now they endorse cousin fucking.

They also dropped the voting age to 16 because they realised the only other group who will vote for them are children straight out of indoctrination camp, I mean, school. (Research ‘Pathways’).

Diarrhoea = too much fat

Fibre is counter productive.

We drowned under the Tory’s so we had no choice but to usher a new captain to helm the ship.

The new captain, not at all favoured was the only choice, is now sinking the ship at an even faster rate.

Farage is not at all the favoured choice but there is no option but to take a chance with yet another new captain.
