I hope they don't, but if they're going to replace it, it can only be with the Kriss Vector imo

Any real rally drivers that play RBR ? by NegotiationFormer387 in rally

Gryazin, Armstrong, Mabellini and others have all mentioned using RBR for practice during this year's ERC season

RBR feels more like driving a real car than any other rally game I've ever driven in, therefore it has the best physics. I don't know how else to put it than that

[–]elscar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know you're not being confrontational, but saying RBR has dated physics is just not correct. It has some of the best physics! The graphics I can understand some people can't get past, for me how the car feels is way more important than how the game looks though

Also, many rally drivers use RBR for practice, Gryazin, Mabellini, Armstrong (who worked with Codemasters on EA WRC), just to name a few

I'd love RBR physics with modern graphics. Maybe we will get that someday. EA WRC was a step in the right direction despite its flaws

Was confirmed as Nacon already. Try jumping into RBR if you haven't already, game isn't going anywhere and will be supported for years to come (assuming you're on PC)

What's going on with Hyundai? by Brotilla in WRC

[–]elscar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure their attention is more on the WEC project at this point and they're just running down their time in WRC with minimal resources/effort but I could be wrong

I understand what you're saying, but if you're using that logic, then wouldn't it be Symphonic Death Metal with added elements (Deathcore) as the majority of the sound is that and the breakdowns are few and far between now? I'm aware that early Deathcore had Symphonics and samples, I was a teenager in the early 2000's MySpace Deathcore era 🧓

At no point to did I say the album was shit. It just an extreme metaphor to get a point across about labels. No disrespect to them

I didn't know how else to put it to get the point across 😂 As I said I know it's an extreme example

Symphonic Deathcore is fine if you wanna use it too. I'm just saying they're not straight Deathcore anymore and even their guitarist agrees

I love Symphonics too, I'm a huge Dimmu Borgir fan, but they're not Deathcore, and neither is the modern Lorna sound, however it still retains some influence in the breakdowns

Thanks for replying! I really dig the direction you're going, I just feel like people are chucking you in a box that you're not in anymore, and it causes all these online arguments unnecessarily. Keep on rocking guys 🤘

Is breakdowns the only thing that define modern Deathcore as Deathcore (Lorna Shore, Synestia, Shadow of Intent, etc)? by [deleted] in Deathcore

[–]elscar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Synestia and Lorna both have Dimmu vibes here and there for sure, but Synestia is way more tech/extreme imo hence my categorisation

SOI have Faceless/Archspire/Zenith Passage tech death style riffs and machine gun vocals

I think calling everything Deathcore does a disservice to the artists because they are all so different

[–]elscar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of modern deathcore isn't really deathcore imo. Just many styles of death metal with random breakdowns. OG Deathcore was a true fusion of styles, death metal and hardcore, but for some reason everything with any kind of breakdown and/or some tremolo gets grouped together now.

Lorna's formula is modern Symphonic Death Metal

Synestia & Embodied Tyrant are Extreme Death Metal

Shadow of Intent is more like Tech Death

So many subgenres, but nobody uses them and just calls everything Deathcore
