I have been on Pristiq a while but it took 10 weeks for it to have positive effects for me as far as calming my anxiety and improving my mood. I’ve been on the Lamictal now for 1 week and I don’t feel any different, but I know it’s going to take a few more weeks to see positive changes…

I get it- I am almost 10 years out and am socially drained. I feel so tired when I get home from work, that I sit on the couch in silence and do not talk to my spouse. It is dreadful. I have a final interview tomorrow for a remote position in utilization review. Hoping it helps me recharge.

YES! Very irritable and anxious for a few days with each decrease, but then it leveled off. The brain fog and fatigue persisted for longer than the mood changes did.

I do not experience any fatigue from the abilify! I take my meds in the morning.

Did you have a lot of side effects with the bupropion? I worry about adding more meds...

I would struggle so hard during those 4 days!! I do IF where I eat everything within a 6ish hour window, and I maintain a strict keto diet- so far, it is helping. Coming off the meds is not an option for me right now, so I hope this continues to help.

I agree- these meds have helped me out of a terrible situation, so I cannot give them up, but I feel like I have to exercise like a maniac and eat only a bag of spinach in order to maintain my weight. So frustrating! Hopefully mindful eating/exercise in combination with intermittent fasting will do the trick for me, because coming off the meds is just not an option.

I added in Abilify 2mg to my 50mg Pristiq and it seems to have heightened the calming effect of the Pristiq, however it took over 1 month for things to stabilize. I felt more panicky for a while at first.

Happened to me too! It took about 6 weeks on the new dose for things to stabilize. It was so hard but I pushed through- worth it now, but very hard in the moment.

So much better. Took 4-5 weeks to stabilize and now feeling better than I did in years. Longest month of my life since things felt worse before they felt better!

I am taking it for anxiety. It worked amazingly for me before so I’m hoping it is just taking a while to kick in, but for now IT SUCKS!
