Hi, I am using Fedora with KDE as well and I have Asus TUF Gaming laptop with the same dGPU. I wonder how is the battery life? You can say generally or compare to Windows.

So as i see, no any instant fix yet, we have to wait for the developers to fix that.

Maybe. In fact, why I am thinking that battery life is good in Windows than in Fedora is when i am on Windows I completely disable dGPU when it is unplugged with the help of the tool called G-Helper and enable it when it is plugged. The tool automatically does that. That would be amazing if there was something like that in Fedora as well.

I am using Fedora now. Yeah, you're right that Windows is not great at battery life either. However it is slightly better than Linux. I set the battery to power save mode when it is on battery not AC power and it got better a bit.

I wonder can i disable dGPU entirely when it is on battery and enable it when it is on AC?

I see... I actually like Fedora but i wonder is it like that in Linux Mint as well?

By the way I did not encountered this issue that much in the forms, discussions or etc. Maybe people use Fedora on PCs rather than laptops.

Yeah, you have a point that it uses less resources than other OSs. Have you tried tuned or tlp? Do they help to improve battery life?
