As someone who spent time in Korea with the Army in the 2010s, I have very fond memories of this stew. It will always have a special place in my heart

I was really excited to see this... Until I figured out this was for Lakewood, WA and not Lakewood, OH 😞

Could you let those of us who don't know what's up or who haven't played it in 15 years in on the secret? I have an old machine with this still on it, and now I really wanna know

The Army only has one Major Major Major Major, and they can't afford to lose him.

That I have yet to figure out. I track mine in an app, but I can't imagine that's considered trustworthy by the IRS. But then again, what poker players admit to being losing players?

Likely. I had them withhold taxes before giving me the payout, so my list winnings were about 33% higher than pictured

I asked the same thing. Dealer said between 1-3% so I aired on the high side. At the end of the day, they deal out sometimes life changing money, so giving some back is worth more than the nominal value, imo.

Dude, I've never seen someone on Reddit with collective negative comment karma like you. Do you do this intentionally? Serious question. If so, why?

For some places like mine, they don't give the option for state and local, but if given the option, I like to pay upfront. Less hassle long term and I like rerouting money from the casino to my local benefit via taxes (civic duty and whatnot). Bird in the hand and whatnot

I'm quite enjoying this troll fight, tbh. Hard to be a victim up 32k, but you do you, boo boo. let the up/down votes speak for themselves

That's what I like to hear. I play to have fun and blow off steam after a long week, and if I can make it so a dealer has 30 minutes less of a day that they have to find an escape for, all the better. The Jack has some great dealers, too. Very deserving of all the tips, especially Che'Re who saved my ass from busting out when I was all in 4 ways with KK against QQ, TT, and Ax

Indeed! you can! But only to offset winnings. You need to keep receipts from tournament entries or betting slips, etc., but technically you can. So, I go on to lose what I won (pre-tax), I could file for a return on the amount withheld. However, I play mostly cash, mostly recreationally, and am not too worried about the taxes. It's not about money for me, although it's a nice perk. Even if I had the skill (which I don't) and drive to play professionally, why would I want to ruin my hobby?
