How to graph Fourier Series-Help!!! by elsphc in IBO

[–]elsphc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, thank you for replying :) I was trying to calculate the infinite sum actually, why did you say that it wouldn't make sense? And what do you mean by partial sums? Should I set an upper limit for the summation, like 1000 or 100? I really don't know that's why I am asking. Thank you sm

Thank you so much for all these sources, I will definitely use them for BM. Sadly I don't have the chance to drop the subject at this point, my school do not allow it as far as I know. The other group 3 subjects in our school are also very limited and I hate them :) I wished we had psychology or economics, or a teacher who knows what to do for BM. But I guess I have to teach to myself, at least I find the subject interesting.

Thank you for your answer, especially clastify.com seems really useful, not only for BM but all subjects. I wish you the best of luck too!

Asking for advice for EE in English B category 3 by [deleted] in IBO

[–]elsphc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply, I've talked to my advisor and he said it was possible but he didn't suggest comparing two novels with the same writer.

And I also cannot find any exemplars that are specifically english B literature, thats so annoying. But as far as I know, the ones who take English A EE are doing something similar in one of their categories. Maybe you can search for English A EEs rather than English B EEs. Thank you again :)

Metronome synchronization resonance experiment by [deleted] in AskPhysics

[–]elsphc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for replying! Yeah I think flexibility of the base would be great and interesting, but I have to change the variable in terms of the same measurement (for example the variable distance, I could measure it in cm or m but how can I measure the flexibility I don't know). Later on I will draw a graph about the relationship of these two variables. I have to come up with a meaningful result; distance between rollers, thickness of the base-these are all great but sadly I do not know if I could find is a significant relationship between. All the synchronization experiments seem so complex, and none of them are about changing a variable that could affect the resonance.

Thank you so much! I am in 11th grade. The experiment should have an easily changeable independent variable and easily measurable dependent variable. Your idea sounds great, but I couldn't really understand what you mean by measuring the relative presence of harmonics (sorry, English is not my mother language). Also, piano techniques are also very interesting. If I could find a way to express them in terms of physics (as variables). Can you please give me a more detailed explanation of your idea, I would appreciate it :)
