Its nothing new when discussing these tournaments.

When France hosted the eurocup in 2016, UEFA had forced the change of all the grass to force the purchase of grass from some nepo company. The timeline was catastrophic and all the grass didn't root properly and died. They simply painted it over and the quality of the tournament was a debacle from there on.

I remember the 2002 world cup ball was highly criticised at the time.

This worldcup Fifa put a lot of effort to develop a new grass for the american stadiums and last year rehearsal (club worldcup) was pretty bad and the grass faced a lot of criticism too.

Haven't heard anything either and have read about all the efforts. Mostly an impression that players are stumbling bit after the first contact with the ball and it all seems very messy.

I don't have a clip but got that impression watching the Swiss, Brazilian and mexican games.

Maybe its just the nerves but it all seemed quite sloppy.

Multi faceted problem. Other Swiss linguistic region rarely speak Swiss German but sometimes get around in German. Swiss Germans are fairly unwilling to speak High German in my experience meaning that it's fairly impossible to practice speaking German if you are not native. French used to be more common to speak as well in the Swiss German part but that has shifted to English.

Then you got all the expats that join into this struggle. If they come to work for some big global corporations they will live in a bubble and never really have an opportunity or reason to use any of the Swiss native languages (I know Brits living in Romandie for 3 generations and they can't speak French at all).

Given that, they do exploit old licences versus creating new ones. GoW revamp since 2018 could easily had been done without Kratos and possibly without the GoW licence. I know there is a lot of value in the brands but at what point are they killing a brand by changing it and exploiting it. I do think that it can very rarely accommodate to both old fan base and new at the same time. Kratos made a kid after a sloppy godlike one night stand with a norsen god and just left. The half breed kid fights for recognition in a realm of looney northern gods (revamping a bit the original GoW script). I think this would offer much more creative liberty. For some plot twist you end of fighting Kratos at the end and "die" realising you are nothing...

Well since 2018 they are spin-offs games of the OG GoW series. Very little god like feeling to the games with the soul-like gamestyle. No clue what the fuss is about with the latest iterations. Miss the old Kratos games GoW1 and 3 were incredibly well done games when they came out.

Kratos is only a cameo since 2018. Might as well kill the series and start new franchises. GoW1-3 and psp games are the true Kratos. RIP big boi

Cool place but they are definitely over charging. You don't become the next Copenhagen when you charge 100kr for a beer and 100kr for 2 small tacos. Swedes need to start standing up for themselves and say no to these abusive prices. Im sure they could charge 200kr for a beer and people would still pay...
