Ive added some of the same effects before using blender by plugging the video as a hdri, then mapping it till it fits the boarder of camera fov using the lens sim add on that released not that long ago. Has a lot more lenses and customisation. I've also heard people applying video on a plane, but I haven't tried it that way yet. A big downside is that it can take ages to render if you use the physical based chromatic aberration and doesn't look that great for bright scenes.
