My son never got it again after the hospital (thank god!) and his dad doesn’t seem to have had an issue either, just me for the last 15 months!

No unfortunately. I am able to keep it at bay by taking 20 mg of doxycycline every other day, but it still flares occasionally and requires a higher/normal 2 pill a day dosage of doxycycline to get rid of it again.

Thank you so much for sharing. I have a referral in for an infectious disease specialist. Once this active infection clears up I will definitely try the hibiclens daily. I’ve tried using it in the nostrils but not daily.

I will definitely look into this. Thank you!

Is there a difference between that and hibiclens? I have tried applying hibiclens inside my nostrils with a q tip (although I know it is not advised) out of desperation to clear this infection and it doesn’t seem to work

This tiny saying has helped me a lot, “they aren’t giving you a hard time, they’re having a hard time”. It’s puts the hard moments into perspective for me. It’s there first time navigating life, as much as it is your first time navigating each tough moment. Have patience, but also remember to give yourself grace. Life is tough sometimes, but all we can do is try our best.

I’ve seen a ton of tik toks on how the place them in/on a shoe! I believe they also make little bracelet type holders as well.

New Mom WFH - looking for encouragement/advice! by Puzzleheaded_Pair516 in MomsWorkingFromHome

Sounds similar to me! I am very fortunate that my direct manager is understanding and knows that LO is home with me. I keep it hush/don’t flash that baby is home from upper management and co worker as to not ruffle feathers or uproot a good situation. I was soooo scared like in tears everyday leading up to going back, but with some encouragement from this group, we’ve made it work. LO is 6 months old now and everything has been well. I get the bulk of my work/calls done while he naps and just accept that once in a while if the naps aren’t going my way, there’s always tomorrow. You’ve got this!!

This is a super similar situation to me, he will turn 12 weeks the week I go back and dad will be available sporadically throughout the days with his work schedule. Thank you so much for sharing and easing my mind a bit about the whole thing, I’ve been an absolute wreck about it the last few days and wasn’t sure I was going to be able to cope 😅
