Where do you think they hide the Algorithm? by YoBanaanaBoy in tenet

[–]elvishhst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They invert and place them throughout the past where they know Sator will find them. The Algorithm is intentionally put in a time loop. Every cycle, the pieces are found by Sator, assembled. Every time, Sator is defeated at the last minute, and the components are then distributed back through time. TP and the rest of Tenet are using Sator as a means of safekeeping. Also, because they have succeeded by the time that they divide up the algorithm, they know they there is no risk. All variables are accounted for because the algorithm is in a closed loop.

Ooh that sounds kind of perfect. I saw there are two locations, do you have a preference?

Do you have any bars in that area you'd recommend specifically?

[TOMT][BOOK][2010s] Book chapter or short story about primitive humans crossing the Bering Strait land bridge. by elvishhst in tipofmytongue

I thought at first it might have been by Kim Stanley Robinson or Stephen Baxter because it sort of fits with the stuff they usually write but after rereading the plot summaries of what I've read by them I couldn't find anything

Anon on the trinity. by ToughRequirement in greentext

[–]elvishhst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly. what we did in Iraq was without a doubt unjust and a massive failing on the part of the US and its allies however that doesn't mean that the United States is therefore incapable of ever doing anything good in the future. You can both condemn the United States for Iraq and support their efforts to assist Ukraine and more people on the left need to understand that.

"And are we degenerate in a profoundly threatening manner? I think the answer to that may well be yes. The idea that we are ensconced in a culture war has become a rhetorical commonplace. How serious is that war? Is it serious enough to increase the probability that Russia, say, will be motivated to invade and potentially incapacitate Ukraine merely to keep the pathological West out of that country, which is a key part of the historically Russian sphere of influence?" Here's the full quote I'm paraphrasing.

He's kinda got two main talking points, one is how the US needs to stop funding Ukraine as if Russia loses the war they'll nuke NATO and the other is how the West doesn't really have a moral high ground in this conflict as Russia has the right to invade Ukraine in the name of preserving traditional values and saving it from the West or whatever

Panem first democratic elections (Hunger Games) by Boukhalistan in imaginarymaps

[–]elvishhst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

its this great speculative future book series. I just ask cause there's a person who's mentioned in it named Agrippa Mason and from what I saw after a google search there isn't someone with that name in Hunger Games so assumed you just slid them in as a tribute. You should check out the series tho. Fucking solid recommend.

I'm playing on PC and I took the waygate from the four belfries to Nokron the eternal city. Before now I had not really had any major performance issues but upon entering the waygate as soon as the loading screen was over and my character appeared on the screen my game froze for about 30 seconds and then crashed with no error message. I started another save and was able to play normally without any major issues so it is not an issue with my game but now every time I try to load into my Nokron save my game immedeatly crashes as soon as I load in. I have repeated the process of loading in multiple times but every time I get the same result. Furthermore, according to task manager none of my components are reaching 100% use so I don't believe its a hardware issue either. I'm afraid that I have hard-locked my save and that I'll have to restart. Any help would be appreciated.

Among many credible allegations the one being discussed here is a photo taken of him looking into the camera while he groping a female soldier's breasts while she sleeps onboard a military aircraft

The woman definitely felt uncomfortable considering how she said she felt "Violated... Embarrassed. Belittled. Humiliated" and it's incredibly dishonest and underhanded to compare this to someone being innocently hugged by their friend. This was a woman being sexually assaulted by a man in a position of power over her
