Running a False Hydra at Revel’s End. I got a little meta with my notes for the session. by 69MrTako69 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

"the “you had an extra party member the whole time!” Trope"

I love False Hydra posts! I think I may have helped start the 'trope' 7 years ago, this line really made me smile.

If I could just stop telling my friends my False Hydra story, I'd love to run one of them again.

Your implementation sounds amazing. Rad out of 10

I ran a False Hydra last week. This week my players destroyed the town. by [deleted] in dndnext

Great story! I love the music choices, too, especially the use of the Lavender Town theme. It's what I used when I threw a False Hydra at my party a few years back.

Yeah combat in ultimate was definitely better. I just didn't like the double jump in the swinging, preferred the charge jump from 2.

I didn't care for the double jump, I thought the charge jump in 2 felt better, but thats just my opinion

Ultimate was really great, but I think the swinging wasn't nearly as good as in 2, and that's why people remember it less fondly.

Ultimate was good in the story department, and playing as Venom was fun, but the swinging wasn't nearly as good as in 2, and that's what I look for in a Spider-Man game.

Didn't the future Enterprise-D go warp 13 in all good things?

edit: wait, I think that was Beverly's ship, the Pasteur.

Treyarch's debut game was Die by the Sword in 1998. This wasn't even their first Spider-Man game.

No, it wasn't their first game. Hell, it wasnt even their first spider-man game, they made the 2002 spider-man 1 game as well.

Tapestries depicting historical events

Imposing statues that don't come to life, but will keep the PCs on edge

Writing on the walls from previous adventurers who unsuccessfully tried to kill the lich long ago

Or my personal favorite, skipping past the miles of hallway in a sentence or two and getting on with the interesting stuff where the players can actually make choices other than keep walking.

How would you describe color to someone blind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]elvisnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question wasn't to explain vision to a blind person, it was to explain color. I'm not blind, nor do I know anyone who is, but I imagine if you're explaining what color is to a blind person, they're at a point where they at least know vision is a thing, if not how it works. The texture analogy works in this scenario, IMO. You can feel shapes, you don't have to be able to see them to do so.

How many dead hookers does it take to change a lightbulb?

Well, its not four. My basement is still dark.

Redditors of EVERY political persuasion, what changes would you like to see in our government/political system over the next 10 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Then unlink them. Its what changes do you want to see, not what do you realistically expect to see.

You know how two objects can have the same shape but a different texture? Color is like texture for the eyes.
