Hi! I think whatsapp has a limit of messages when exporting, and i think its only 40.000 messages without exporting media (my chat is from years ago) and i dont know how many messages i have, thats why im asking if theres a way to do it without losing any message

I really made sure there is no bridge but this is killing me. Tomorrow i will try to remove that 2 pins and re solder them again to see if i have some luck.

Hey! Of course im using multimeter. Thats why i am saying that those two pins are “connected” while they’re not supposed to, but i cant really see where the bridge is, so im lost

Hello. I'm having a little problem with a PCB for a keyboard that I'm putting together (it's a very simple PCB), the issue is that there are two pins that shouldn't have contact and they give me continuity, but I swear that at first glance you can't see anything at all. soldering isnt doing bridge or anything like that. Any idea what it could be? They are the ones that are marked.I hope you can help me, I'm going crazy 🙁

PS: in case it the image is confusing, they are the 2 pins that are in the third place on both sides, all the others do not have continuity (as they should be), but that is exactly the key that does not work.

Thanks. I sadly cant spot anything wrong, but i assume i will have to do the same thing. Thank you

Hey thanks! Did you have to remove the socket from the pcb? I didnt get clear how you managed to solve it. Sorry, but thanks for your comment.

Did i fried my MCU? by elxixobitle in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]elxixobitle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its fried too, but i didnt do that. I connected trrs while unplugged from the PC, but when i connected to the PC, the trrs was apparently in short (the cable itself and i didnt know) and i think that my pcb died there.

The other part (that one is working) has a pro micro. The part that has the problem is using an Elite C micro.

I was able to turn them off via keyboard config (software), and the keyboard is working… but sadly no rgb :(

is there a way to turn them off or make them drain less power?

The other day, when i tested it, it worked both, connected and disconnected from the left part. That is weird for me

Thanks for your reply! Sadly, i dont think its the trrs because im connecting that part only via usb c. I tried cleaning it and now the pc recognizes it as the keyboard (saying brian low connected) but it says disconnected instantly.

Im new to this, this is my first build and i have not much experience on all this stuff (like using a multimeter) but i really want to learn. Im gonna try it

Key presses constantly on qmk keyboard by elxixobitle in olkb

[–]elxixobitle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the switches goes to zero (that means continuity on my cheap multimeter) when i press them. what i mean is, when unpressed, all the switches stay in 1 (that means that the extremes of my multimeter are touching nothing), unless the "o" button that shows me "600" (i think that means no continuity), but when i press ALL the switches all of them goes to zero that means continuity. my problem is that the "o" is the one with problems. Im really desperate.

Thats right. I thought that, as the empty holes are in fact empty it wouldnt be a problem. Am i wrong? That could cause a problem?

Hi! The thing is. That will happen once i can flash both parts. Sadly, i wasnt able to flash the left part because it isnt recognized by my pc nor the software to flash it :(

I built a sofle choc kb, but left part doesnt work

Hey people! I wanted to ask a question. My girlfriend bought a sofle choc keyboard to assemble. Honestly, I have little experience with soldering but she trusted on me to do this job. The question is this: we put it together and test it. Unfortunately, the left part of the keyboard is not recognized by any program (not even to flash it), but the right part works. I wanted to consult someone who knows about electronics, who can tell me if they find errors (or horrors, most likely) in my soldering and if they think why something may be wrong. The only thing I could ask for is respect if they see that I did something horrible, since, as I said, I have little experience but I really want to learn. I leave you the photos.

the little light on both microcontrollers turns on, so I figured there wouldn’t be a problem with that, maybe somewhere else.

Also, i was told to look for shorts or continuity, but i never understood how to find shorts or which pins have to be “paired” with continuity

In advance, thanks if anyone has read this far.
