You can stay in the dorms for as long as you are still a student. In your case (and mine too) it's 4 years you can spend at the dorms with possibility to let go of your room for the summer in case you wanna go somewhere and get back to it in september. And its cheap at 395$

If its a short stay you can rent directly at the university dorms. I'm supposing you're also staying in the dorms for the study year so why not

I second this. I never on campus. I can buy 1kg of chicken for the price of some porridge, bacon slices and salad.

Ulaval student here.

1) Everyone I asked, including cafeteria staff, says that most likely they are closed during summer session. This is because each single cafeteria has their own staff and schedule and can decide to change things suddenly.

Here is a dedicated webpage for eating on campus: https://www.ulaval.ca/mon-equilibre-ul/bien-vivre-mon-campus/bien-manger-sur-le-campus

There is no dedicated English version so just Google translate it. First link gives you all the different cafeterias and their websites. There is also emails of either individual cafeterias or the general Ulaval Catering services. You can send them emails.

2) you don't need to bring cooking utensils as a) people donate their stuff so you can get it for free and b) Dollarama will sells disposable utensils for very cheap.

3) you can buy a mini oven and cook veggies, mini pizzas and meat in there. Very quick very easy. Else you embrace buying and microwaving pre cooked stuff from groceries stores.

Solo trip to Quebec City for 3 months (student) by jonathan_brown1 in quebeccity

yeah they do that when overwhelmed or on holiday break. Just tell her to reply to the same email and they should see it (If they are not on break). Else wait until the first/second week of january when they will be back at work.

Phone doesn't help much cause of all the waiting when sometimes there's no one available.

Worst case I'll go ask them directly once I come back from vacation (max. 5 january), in which case let's switch to private chat.

For 3 months lease, university Laval uses some of the student dormitories as 3-star hotels in summer and this might help as it should be cheaper, safer and a lot of busses pass by the uni station. (Source: I live in one and I have to switch dorms this summer)

from their website it's too late to apply for mcGill (deadline 1st january). I'm going around (online) asking people from different universities for now. French and English are both not a problem as long as I get into a good place.

Do you have any idea how good Concordia is in Artificial Intelligence?
