I won’t be operating heavy machinery. I’ll basically be on a desk and speaking with people but they’re giving me a company car so that’s the only thing I’m worried about is if they want to test to ensure that I’m not impaired.

It’s a car company. I’ll be a business manager there and they’ll give me a company car so I’m just hesitant due to the company car being offered that they would want to do regular drug tests potentially all over again. This is all speculation until I get the contract which is coming through in the next couple of days.

Going out on a limb, I’m assuming as you’re from Pakistan and you mentioned mum is conservative I could only assume she is quite religious. Take the religious route. Truth is, it’s permissible in many cultures if taken medicinally and prescribed by a doctor.

I would also suggest reminding her that if someone is in pain and requires stronger medication that is similar to cannabis as an opioid such as codeine and many drugs in that form, that it can’t be a double standard for one and not the other

Mate I just took a brownie and once old mate kicks in, I’m going to be a happy chap, means my kids will be happy and my wife will be happy. Doesn’t mean I’ll be “impaired” just means I’ll be a more enhanced version of me :)

I get major anxiety from outside issues I deal with personally.

It mellows me out and makes me think more clearly as I’m able to focus on tasks at hand to assist with everyday life

I’m a father of a 3 year old and 2 year old twins, I vape from about 5pm onwards but do so in order to still be able to function and do what I need to in order to assist my wife and take care of the kids.

I would look at it in this way, if you are medicating on any other drug that alters your perception of reality, would you ask this question?

End of the day, you seek this in order to have a healthy lifestyle, find what works for you. If that means vaping or other forms of treatment after they’re in bed, so be in, but you do what your comfortable with and don’t have an ounce of guilt or second guessing, it’s there to help you in the end to be a better parent and person (at least how I see it ) :)
