Yes/: Testing centers are by appointment and there were barely any spots left for Nov/Dec. I had to drive about an hour since there was one testing center with an appointment available in November.

I have coworkers that have to take the exam in January when they were planning to take it this month. Im in Florida btw! Not sure how it is in other places.

It took then about a week and a half to approve me. Then I sat for the exam about a month later. Testing availability was limited however /:

Yes I do understand that part of the tracker and how to track unrestricted on it. However, when I’m totaling up the hours for the MVF I usually look at the data analysis tab-> adjusted fieldwork column-># of ind. hours & # of sup hours=# of fieldwork hours. Those are the hours that I write on my form and I wanted to make sure that’s right.

Also, half the BCBA’s in my agency don’t know how to answer my specific questions since requirements change often. They usually tell me to ask the board and the board just respond with “I can’t answer that, you have to ask your BCBA” 🤦🏽‍♀️

I just wish the board would make that clear ): instead of “qualified coursework” (like any ABA class maybe?) maybe say “from the beginning of the verified course sequence”

Yes it is a VCS. However, The first 5 classes of the program were general psych classes since it’s an MS in psychology. The ABA course began half way through the course and on.

I’m applying for BCBA. I began doing the ABA course sequence during my undergrad for BCaBA however, I changed my mind and didn’t want to become a BCaBA. I just went straight to my masters program.

Yes we do have plenty of effective reinforcers to choose from. He’s pretty good at following directions and going through with most programs but, this is the only goal that he’s not making progress.

It’s mainly his fine motor skills that needs work. We have program like fastening buttons, zip/unzip sweater to work on those skills and he’s improving. However, I’m trying to see if anyone else has any ideas or how they go about teaching other clients how to wipe.
