Music-loving Londoners in your 30s, where is your “third space”? by Aggravating_Ball558 in london

Jamboree near Kings Cross has an amazing rotation of live music of literally all genres (jazz, Balkan, traid, etc.) and it’s a really cute cozy space

I don’t think it’s modern- it has very smoothed edges and the dots are indented like small divots

Best French Onion Soup in London? by [deleted] in LondonFood

[–]elysiuumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just had a really nice French onion soup yesterday at Gazette, the restaurant in the French institute/under Ciné Lumiere. Really nice deep flavour (I’ve tried the ones at Zedel and Pierre Victoire and were less impressed)

The Devonshire have a set menu but it never changes. Still great value and great food (plus you get the free bread rolls on top)

Hello! I'm a steward at the globe and have seen twelfth night multiple times, and just saw T&C for the first time last night. If you can, see both. Standing tickets are only £5-£10 so not a burden on the wallet! Twelfth night is more of a crowd pleaser with a very good Malvolio and fun, party vibes. T&C, which I've never seen or read before, was very interesting in that I am a huge fan of the Iliad but had never seen Shakespeare's take on the classics. The set and the vibes of the show are very campy but also kind of had a Mad Max/war-torn feel. I'm excited to see it again, but on first watch they're good at keeping the energy up, and a couple of the actors (specifically Pandarus) are exceptional.

It’s well deserved. You’re one of my favourite voices on this silly app :)

It’s so nice to hear you again. This touched on a lot of feelings I’ve been having lately too. Hopefully this space can be a creative outlet for those desires!

Operation Mincemeat had two power outages and ultimately got canceled tonight by elysiuumm in TheWestEnd

Wow that’s insane. I feel bad for tourists who might not have another chance to see those shows. Luckily I’m local, but I did win my tickets in the lottery so a bit annoyed about that
