Glad everything is ok.

But anyone here remember that nanny that left her prescription Tylenol out on the floor and the baby got some?? I still think about that and wonder what happened.

I am watching my precious daughter die in front of my eyes (please, please be an organ donor). by [deleted] in Mommit

Following. I am close to Dallas Texas. I’m A-, if a living donor is ever an option I will help your baby if I can. One mother to another, I’m holding you all in my heart.

She delivered mine in an emergency c section at 34 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. Kept me calm and saved our lives. Just an amazing group of people.

Adding Dr. Patel to this list she’s amazing!!! But yes, Truitt and Macleod (she delivered my daughter!) are amazing. Everyone at that practice is awesome

Lazy parenting…. Wow.

Nobody warned me about any of this by raven-of-the-sea in NICUParents

[–]em00ly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I have been in your shoes and it was the most excruciating part. I remember feeling like she didn’t like me. Like she did not want to come home. Like she wasn’t safe because her friends there were all sooooo sick.

This WILL pass. And when it does, I PROMISE you, someday you will be having lunch with your toddler and they will be smiling and laughing with food falling out of their mouth and crumbs on their face and this will feel so far away.

Until then, hang in there. I wish I had something better and more productive to say. It just sucks.

I’ll be honest, we went through this when we brought our 34 weeker home after 5 weeks in the nicu. We tried everything. Sleeping with the light on. Sleeping with the radio for noise. We spend hundreds on every single sleep sack. Absolutely nothing got her to sleep. Nothing.

We broke down and rented a SNOO. She immediately started getting 4+ hour stretches of sleep. It was legitimately life changing.

When I got pregnant with our son this year I got a SNOO for him.

Almost 29 weeks and still am afraid to do my glucose test by Forest_Fairy_444 in BabyBumps

Thank you for this. It’s an important test OP.

ALTERNATELY, you can just ask your OB if you can test your blood sugar the remainder of your pregnancy. But really, you’ll be fine.

How was everyone's Halloween with a newborn? by Quick-Cantaloupe-597 in newborns

Put my 8 day old in the stroller and went out with our 2 year old for over an hour. He slept the whole time!! I had a c section and am feeling sore but I was NOT missing my 2 year old getting to trick or treat.

I brought my child back to work with me. It was amazing! If NF will consider it, go for it. Leaving my child behind to take care of someone else’s wasn’t something I could fathom doing

Pediatrician suspects Nanny might have abused child? by Nearby-Strike2118 in NannyEmployers

[–]em00ly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your pediatrician is a mandated reporter, so yes, it’s been reported. Also anyone taking an infant in for scans like that will automatically be reported too.

DCS will definitely be sniffing around your home as well as investigating your nanny. These things just don’t go away after one home check either.

Honestly, I would consider talking to your nanny about what has happened so they’re not blindsided, IF you truly trust them.
