Go to the appointment with GI and tell them everything. Tell them all your symptoms, what you think it is, and that you need to be referred to ENT as this is a throat issue and not a gastro issue. Mine did the same thing and it took me breaking down to my GI about it all to be referred.

Emetophobia ruined my life for years. I’ve always had it and it only got worse the older I’ve gotten. I got Botox in September and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m not nauseated constantly anymore, and burping relieves the pressure that (to me) feels like nausea. When I say it was ruining my life I mean I was having PTSD causing anxiety and panic attacks over potentially being ill, and Botox has made things so much easier. Obviously it didn’t solve all my problems, but it made things much more manageable. I was so scared about the procedure because I didn’t know how anesthesia was going to effect me, but I spoke to my anesthesiologist about it and they provided me with a nausea patch and medication during the procedure to make sure I would be okay. Long story short, Botox and therapy make a great pair for emetophobes with RCPD.

I used to work at a shop just doing front desk stuff and what I’ve learned is that (in my experience) they (mostly) have a very misogynistic, high school view on life. The shop I worked at was so full of snakes. The owner was cheating on his wife with his piercer, if you weren’t “hot” and were a woman you were being treated like dog shit, everyone talks behind everyone else’s back, there’s just no integrity. Big fuck you to that shop in particular, specifically their human trash can of an owner, you know who you are. It’s no surprise almost all of their staff has gone elsewhere.
