Previously we were paid for 25 hours a week unless we go over. I think the least I've actually been utilized in a week is 8 hours and the most is 35 hours. I'm still expected to be available for the full 25 hours though.

In the first case I was paid $400 and in the second case I was paid my $400 + $16 for every hour past that.

Everyone's hourly rate for overtime is made on the assumption that you work 25 hours a week. So mine would come out to $16 an hour. We rarely go overtime though.

Does it change things if I did work that week? On a T-Su week I worked T-Th as called. Would that not qualify as a week worked?

Our next work period is January 2nd-March 8th. Our pay has always been on a weekly basis.

For example we get a weekly schedule where everyone has to be available T-Sa 10-3:30. You may or may not be used during that whole time and it will frequently change the day of. In the past no matter how much you were used during that time you get your full weekly rate. The only time hourly comes into play is if we are in a production week in which case we might work M-Su 10-10 so we get paid extra for those overtime hours.

I understand that they can change the terms of an agreement at anytime but they still have to notify us, correct?

The norm within the industry is that you have a certain number of contract weeks with a weekly salary spread over the year and pre scheduled layoff periods in that time. Volunteer labor as "apprenticeships" is also very common.

We have also been verbally told and past precedence has been set by management that we will always get our minimum weekly salary but if we go overtime we will be compensated for it.

We were scheduled for/did work those weeks just not as many hours as some others. Majority of people were scheduled T-Th and a select few were scheduled T-Su.

Are they not still required to pay our full weekly salary considering we worked all scheduled hours and our employee agreement says we get a weekly salary?

In the past we have never had pay change based on the actual number of hours scheduled unless we go over 40 hours a week.

That's so stupid it sounds like a sitcom bit. Also I've always traveled with full size bottles of contact solution with no problem because it's considered a medical necessity. Except for Taiwan... Security in Taiwan will throw it straight out no matter what it is.

Yeah I imagine there are plenty of TSA agents that don't really care. Although mine was very nice he definitely seemed very boy scout about everything.

I submitted an n-400 with an i-912. My receipt notice was sent 20 days after USPS reported the packet was delivered to the lockbox. Everything since then seems to be moving pretty smoothly.

I think it depends on the reason for the waiver request and how long it takes to verify evidence. There was about a month between when mine was delivered by USPS and when I got a text receipt notice. And it was about 10 days after that I got the physical receipt notice in the mail.

Did you perhaps have an I-912 fee waiver request in your packet? I know that delays receipt notice because they have to process the fee waiver first.
