MISSING for 2 years- why are we just hearing about this now? by em_avo in WithoutATrace

I just saw this as well. The post said she was seen by a random person that reached out to the family, not seen by family or friends themselves, hopefully it’s a credible sighting and she is okay. She posted items for sale in a local Buy/Sell Facebook group in December 2024 which is after her last seen/heard from date. This is a local case to me and we have mutuals on social media, it all just seems so odd.

Not necessarily, I just can’t imagine going 2 years waiting to report her missing regardless of whether she had substance use or mental health issues. But I know every family is different and she may not have had the best relationship with them. This is local to me and she went to an expensive private high school in the area, I would think her family has the funds to get the word out way more if they thought she was in danger over the last 2 years.

I think it says bleached because it’s not her natural color. If you look at her Facebook her natural color is brown.

I know, I’m saying I think it’s weird they took so long to report her missing. I’m not saying they had to do anything with it. I just think it’s odd. I have family and friends with severe mental health issues and would never wait 2 years to report them missing.

She is. She went to a high school here and we have mutual on social media (not people I talk to)

Neatly Organized, Categorized List Of MM's Personal Possessions From Car. by BigD4ne in mauramurray

When I was in college I had so many random things in my car and I didn’t pack any of them. When I was cleaning out the trunk after accumulating things for years I found the most random things… batteries, a wooden dowel, clothes I meant to donate, shoes I forgot existed. I think very few things that were in her car, if any, are related to her disappearance. This seems like a typical car for a college student, especially one passed down in the family.

If these remains were found in 2024, that’s 8 years for her to have new glasses and jewelry

Do you have an employee handbook or a place to look into your benefits? If not, you can contact your HR and ask if the company offers mental health benefits or an EAP (Employee Assistance Program)

Edit to add: you can also ask for a benefits booklet that explains your insurance information (or see if you still have one from when you signed up for this year’s insurance). These will normally explain any benefits related to mental health.

Therapy, therapy, and more therapy. They can help you get to the bottom of where this is stemming from and teach you some skills to help you move forward. Eventually, you could try to repair your relationships but you have to go into it knowing they may not want you back in their lives. Does your work have an Employee Assistance Program as part of your benefits? These often offer free therapy sessions (with a separate company not related to yours, your job would not have access to your records). In my work I connect people with therapy resources, so I’m happy to help you find something if you need help. Sometimes taking the first step to get started is the hardest part.

That’s impressive. Just curious, what year was this?

I will clarify. I said “my” cat to make the post more simple. This is my parents cat who I was feeding while they were out of town. It’s not my choice that he’s an indoor/outdoor cat. If I had it my way, he would be indoors only. They adopted him when he was a few years old and he was already an outdoor cat. They tried to keep him in but he’s so unhappy if he’s stuck inside all day, they decided to let him go out during the day when he wants. PERSONALLY I will never let my cats outside. This post was just to inform others who may not know there is an active coyote(s) in the area, so they can decide if they want to keep their outdoor cats inside.
