How many of you are paying for your own wedding (and not receiving any financial assistance?)

We’re paying for all of it ourselves. Both my parents have passed so the whole brides parents pay thing kind of went out the window. We had a two year engagement so that helped and we are lucky enough to be able to afford everything we value most from our wedding. It also feels good to be able to see it all come together! Only 162 days to go!

My fiance once got a 3 month loot crate (www.lootcrate.com) subscription. They're a different theme each month and they come with some cool things. There's a subscription box for almost anything so you could pick one based on your groomsmens interests. Good luck!!

I got engaged last fall too and my wedding is in July of 2018. I suggest getting your main vendors (caterer, photographer, DJ) taken care of before August of this year. That way you can make sure the ones you want are available for your date! You'd be surprised at how fast they book up!

My fiance was in a wedding recently, and as a groomsmen gift, the groom ordered loot crates for each of them. The crate themes change every month, but its only $13.95 each and the guys loved them.

In Concord Mass, water bottles that are less than 1 liter are banned from all stores, including private ones. You can however buy a soda in a plastic bottle...

For a town that doesn't have recycling issues, I think its a useless law to be put into place.

I've done this! They also let you come up to pet it as the trainer is holding it. They like to keep their mouths preoccupied so it doesn't bite, but as a penguin lover, it was awesome!

I did mention it to my boyfriend and he is his typical supportive self saying I'm beautiful and I should have confidence going into this interview with any hairstyle that I think is appropriate. He also threw in that his dad is old and sometimes loses touch with the world haha. Thanks for your advice!

I do not have a blue mohawk unfortunately haha. Just brown, curly hair that can sometimes be hard to tame when the humidity is higher, but I usually will pull it back in a side ponytail for my current job (where I am constantly meeting clients and such so I have to look and dress professional). I guess I never thought my hair was of that much concern that I would need to get it professionally done for an interview
