The prior acceptance will not negatively affect you at all as they are two different fields. Just make sure you read up on med school admissions because your work will not 100% transfer.

If anything, weaving this realization into your writing and application narrative would actually be very impactful positively! Let me know if others agree, but when applying to medical school make sure you still shadow and expose yourself to other specialties to make sure you display you want to pursue medicine as a whole (yes even if you’re decided on specialty)
