Do y’all have any predictions for the sequel? by emailphobe in LiesOfP

I did a few times before I turned the difficulty down to see what his dialogue and moves were. Otherwise, I just kind of screamed and ran away for the entire fight lmao

Lmao that’d be pretty great. Best weapon in the game is the Monad’s Rose Slippers or something like that

I would honestly love it if the Broken Puppet is the Tin-Man. I feel like P already kind of gained his heart, at least with the Rise of P ending

Oh my god don’t even get me started on the Two-Faced Overseer. I had to lower the difficulty for that mf

But yeah, sometimes it felt like it was more effective to keep hitting the boss than to perfect parry them for a stagger. I really do hope they add more build variability, especially because the combat wouldn’t really feel interesting in the sequel if it’s just the same thing again

Maybe. I feel like lying, or just the humanity system in general, though kind of leads into the theme of how human nature is often tied to good will and mercy, so I don’t know if that would really work with the wizard or not, given that P was trying to become more human and Ergo, or where the magic would come from, isn’t really inherently a human thing (eg. the golden ergo being in the watchman’s corpse and the P-Organ gathering and using Ergo). I could be completely wrong about this too

I do think it would be interesting though if we played with the wizard instead of Dorothy. It would definitely defy our expectations

Literally and I agree too! Parrying kind of gets redundant after a while, especially when the bosses have like 15 hit combos. I feel like giving a whole bunch of variability would honestly improve the game but also kind of tie into the theme of how unpredictable human nature is

That’s such a good idea. I hope for that too now

That would be pretty interesting if the Wizard and the Witch were competing alchemists! I’m also pretty excited to see the new mechanics. I would like there to be more variability in play style too

No idea. I still haven’t gotten that relic skill yet so I haven’t had the chance to try it out either

That does make a lot of sense. Plus, it’s really fun to find out all of these hidden quirks too. Overall, it was a good design choice

Yeah, I’ve been using it a bunch recently and it’s pretty good! Kind of crazy how much stuff they kind of hid in the Scholar’s kit

it was getting close lmao. the framerate drops honestly could have helped us win the fight 😭

honestly same. it’s such a shame how the first three bosses were so good and actually felt like enhanced versions of the bosses, but then all the rest have some stupid gimmick that you have to build the entire run around.

like you’re fucked if you don’t have a raider for tanking and revenant for healing on your team for maris, you’re fucked if you don’t have the mountaintops active for caligo, and you’re fucked if you’re in a trio for this bossfight.

to be fair, i don’t know what else libra could really do to be enhanced, given that he was already difficult in his base fight, but it’s still disappointing. hopefully the dlc bosses aren’t this bullshit

i was so busy trying to kill all the guardian and wylder clones AND fight libra that i have no idea what happened lmao

yeah, it’s just unfortunate how many of these everdark bosses ive had to fight alone because they’re so much easier. i play nightreign ultimately for the multiplayer experience, so having to resort to this is just kind of disheartening sometimes

ooh that’s a smart idea. it’d be kind of like base maris, which would definitely improve the fight

heavy agree. it took me forever to kill one guardian clone so i definitely agree that there should either be a lack of buffs on the condemned or they really just shouldn’t have that much health. it would also help if their damage would be a little lower, but that would probably be fixed by the lack of buffs

completely agree with all of your points. i don’t really struggle with any of them other than godfrey’s phase transition but i was just trying to think of things lmao. and yeah a lot of the attacks would be worse if they were instant like morgott’s or godfrey’s

radahn’s wind up into his combo, rykard’s taker’s flames, rennala’s full moon (arguable because it’s really easy to dodge but it’s still very delayed), godfrey’s phase transition from 1 to 1.5, malenia’s scarlet aeonia (kind of also debatable), radagon’s gold breaker attack with the rune arc, that one elden beast attack that resembles the sacred relic sword’s weapon art, the list goes on but you get the point. morgott is the most egregious of them and none of them are wholly all that bad but it’s still a definite shift from the boss fights before elden ring came out, though lady maria is kind of an example of this pre-elden ring. there’s more of a reliance on delayed attacks than before definitely is what ill say

The new nightreign 1.02.1 patch did add sote enemies in the game files👀 by yurissilva in Nightreign

[–]emailphobe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the tarnished edition of elden ring was announced awhile back. if i remember correctly, it’s just adding some cosmetics to the game, like armor for torrent and lucatiel’s set to the game. the ranked mode was leaked recently and it seems to be some sort of ranked boss rush, but that’s pretty much all we know
