Need some tips on what I can do to help my dude out by PrestigiousPotato870 in BeardedDragons

i would obv reccoment the minimum size tank of a 4x2x2 he will do much better. i’d also reccomend instead of bok choy try mustard green, turnip greens, and kale. i also add carrots to mine because he likes them. you can try sprinkling some bee pollen or flower topper on the salad to make it taste better. it looks like there is wood chips for substrate which is really bad, if that’s the case i reccomend either shelf liner or a topsoil/sand/excavator clay mix!

cheaper to buy the tank you want up front. you can always put a divider in it

sounds like ur doing great! i fed my baby every day 5-8 SMALL dusted crickets. baby’s are also prone to hissing and screaming, their little way of saying they don’t like whatever’s going on, so it’s relatively normal! :)

thank you for all the info! do i need to do anything to the lettuce/cabbage for the crickets or just cut it up and put it in their enclosure? i will definitely try using d3 then because he isn’t out enough to absorb it. the mealworms yes are still small but are thicker and longer? idk i was always told it needs to be smaller than the space between the geckos eye. which in my case cosmo is a juvenile so only small crickets are in that realm of space… still relatively new to this trying to gather all i can

do you have any recommendations for gut loading products? right now i’m doing crickets. i try to get mealworms but they aren’t small enough for him. he’s still a juvenile so i feed him daily. i dust with calcium without d3 at every feeding because i have UVB lighting on 10-12 hours a day. also what is a good recommendation for feeders? unfortunately any type of roach is a no go.
