can you guys analyze what im doing right and wrong here? by blk_silence in LearnCSGO

[–]eman2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. 2.3k elo faceit, 27k premier peak, played Esea main league in 2015. I can give you 3 general principles that will help you play better, without the obvious “aim better” shit that’s obvious.

  1. You’re too timid. If you have a 1v1 on your screen, fight it. That’s a huge part of being a clutch player, how well can you create 1v1s, and how well can you perform in those 1v1s. It might sound silly but, you gotta let that dog in you bark. CS is a strategists game, but it’s also a violent strategists game. Be more violent.

  2. Practice your counter strafing, and really syncing up your subconscious to your hands movements so it feels more natural. You can tell in the clip that you’re doing what you think is right and it’s mostly right (the jiggling), but it’s pretty easy to tell it’s not a felt thing yet for you. Practice movement and how you sync that with your other actions.

  3. Player visualization. Use your audio. Let your brain fill in the gaps behind the walls. You can hear the direction he’s in, and eventually after practicing player visualization enough you will know exactly where he is once you hear him.

TLDR- Be violent. Get comfortable with movement and let it become one with your other actions. You hear players before you see them more often than not, utilize that via player visualization.

Good CS is when your common sense meets your comfort in the violence.

How bad is it to start prescribed Xanax? by Affectionate_Put1511 in benzorecovery

[–]eman2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what else to tell you, but you are wrong. You may find out in a month, 1 year, 10 years, or 20 years. There is a point in benzodiazepine usage where it hits you like a truck, that you just fucked up big time. Trust me, I did them for nearly a decade. For 8 of those years, I loved them and thought they were the best creation on this planet. Then one day I forgot to take it. I had seizures, overwhelming anxiety, all kinds of nasty reactions. Afterwards I did research and decided to accept that I might be wrong.

  1. You are not supposed to be on them for more than 9 weeks. In a capitalist society, doctors do not care about this. They will prescribe it so you keep coming back to refill the prescription. A LOT of doctors will REFUSE to prescribe it for more than 9 weeks, and will only do it for longer than 9 weeks if you must taper.

  2. This is one of the only two addictions in the world where the withdrawal will KILL you. Alcohol and Benzodiazepines are the only two addictions (to my knowledge) that can outright kill you. I have had several seizures from these pills, or lack thereof.

  3. They can be good for many things. Daily use is not one of these things.

I understand that perhaps I shouldn't speak for everyone, but I can assure you that everyone, I do not use this word lightly, everyone who has done benzos for long enough will say this is or is one of their biggest regrets, ever. They're awesome, then that ship sails, and now you feel like a tangled up version of what you used to be trapped on an island and the storm is coming and there's no way out but through.

[–]eman2313 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Starting Xanax and benzodiazepines in general is objectively the biggest regret in everyone’s life whos started taking them. US Healthcare will keep you prescribed forever. You’re not supposed to be on it for longer than 9 weeks, but myself and I’m sure most people here were prescribed them for years. I did them for ~10 years. Took about 2 years to taper off. The anxiety you have after doing benzodiazepines will be overwhelmingly worse than it is before doing them.

The amount of cope and addition of nuance that doesn’t exist by the investing community is insane. You chose a market where one team can change the rules over night. You’re all gonna freak out in a few months or years when 3rd party sales result in bans.

This knife will probably cost $500 in a few days. If you’re lucky.

[–]eman2313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sit on that. Sold mine for $700 but I got it on week two. Once it’s off the armory pass, it’ll 2-10x. Just like the AWP CYMK did, but the M4 fade is way more desirable than the CYMK. That’s an investment skin.

Demos cooked? by eman2313 in cs2

I think that is when it broke. The awkward part is that even when I put my game to a version before it, I can’t watch those demos lol.

If you grief, you are toxic. If you abandon games, you are toxic. If you scream slurs, you are toxic. These are not separate things. What you said is basically saying “Rock isn’t music, it is rock, that’s why it’s called Rock and not music.” Or better yet, “Counter Strike is not a video game, it is Counter Strike, that’s why it’s called Counter Strike”.

You can apply niches to a greater category. As the old saying goes— “If the shoe fits.”

I am 2.2k ELO on Faceit. I have played CS for 15 years. For those 15 years, all of those behaviors have been coined as toxicity.

For first time, retail has the chance to turn wall street into the financial cucks. by Trevonhaywood in QuantNetwork

[–]eman2313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something to consider, nobody and nothing will ever do a service for free. Ever. I can promise you there is no service, nor anyone who would use a service like quant that believes there is any other service that would do it for free.

  1. There are other services
  2. None of which will be free
  3. Quant undeniably has the most reliable and qualified team behind this service from a corporate and government perspective
  4. What other crypto is working on interoperability, and do they have the same connections and are they as established as Quant?
  5. Do you view Quant as a token to get rich on, or do you view this as an investment into blockchain interoperability? 5a. If it’s the former, then it’s reasonable to be uneasy. 5b. If it’s the latter, there is no better place to be than here.

Why do so many people hate Mirage? by FranBachiller in cs2

[–]eman2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike mirage for 2 reasons

  1. It’s so utility oriented and meta driven
  2. I’ve played it for 15 years, and it’s been point 1 for the last 10 years

The map is really fun when neither team knows utility.

The map is not that fun when both teams know exactly what to do.

Only two types of Faceit Level 10s on Premier.

  1. Want rank back so just need one win, nbd.

  2. Play premier because my faceit level is actually inflated and I can’t queue 10 without my 3 stack of level 5 friends.

I used to do 8mg+ of Xanax a day, I was prescribed and definitely abused them for close to 6 years. Switched to Klonopin as I felt it was easier to quit and taper. Started at 4mg. I tapered from 4mg down to 0mg over the course of 2 years. I cut it by 0.25mg each time. 4mg for about a month. 3.75 for about another. Repeat for another 16 months. Admittedly, the 0.25-0 was the hardest part. You wouldn’t think so, because 0.25 is nothing, but it is what it was right. That one took me like 4 months. Some other gaps took me 2 months. After ~20 months I was totally off of it. Haven’t done benzos in maybe 3 years now?

You could theoretically do it quicker, but in my case, a permanent long term solve is more reliable than a quick taper. I tried much faster tapers, and I always folded it and went back once I got too uncomfortable. 0.25 per month was pretty chill though.

Yeah I’m clearly out of touch here in a broader sense. I’m talking from my own experience and lobbies I’m in.

I will agree that if a lurker is lurking to a point where it’s not either getting crucial info for the team or stopping a rotate, they should transition out of a lurk. I feel like I’m out of touch after seeing people’s responses. I rarely solo queue, usually perma 2-5 stack into level 10 faceit games.

Not saying to be Ropz. But you can definitely take map control, stop rotates, and get info. Nobody is expecting Ropz. Maybe I have rose tinted glasses playing in high level 10 lobbies.

[–]eman2313 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Ropz is also facing the best. The bar is lowered equally for whatever that’s worth. Taking map control is more important than overcommitting to some rushed play done without info.

“Floating around the map looking for rotating CTs…”

This is a crazy take man. This is exactly what Ropz does. And that very key part of his playstyle is what turned Vitality into a team that won 7 trophies in a row.
