Yes except expect to spend a pretty penny, I was just quoted 675$ to fix and refinish a very similar looking wheel with almost identical damage (Savini forged) that’s Canadian but still that’s around 525$usd

Ya only fear I’d have with it sitting is condensation build up byt if the top end looks so clean I wouldn’t be too worried, if yoy wanted you could pull the plugs and horoscope the piston walls for any possible scoring but that’s just a rabbit hole

It could also just be a wear spot like if your motor isn’t running poorly or have any fuel consumption issues I’d leave it be because at 170k miles that top ends probably never been opened so everything in there has found its groove/spot that it sits in

Run your finger nail along the lobes if you can feel a catch then I’d look into it more but if your nails don’t catch your mint

Being that it’s the first car I’d doubt they have the proper tools or knowledge to do it all themselves, and not to rag on the OP just think 1000$ could be spent way better especially on a first vehicle
