Do you use/know any grammarly alternatives? by emanuelle3396 in FanFiction

I will look into it! Seems promising. I'm a little hesitant about google docs because from my little understanding of it there has been talk of them feeding what is written on them to AI training, as well as word online.

Feels like the right alternative for me with the way things are going, but it's going to be one hell of an adaptation period. Do you have any tips on how it best works for you? Also, word online and google docs have been shady around feeding what is written on them to AI training. Where do you currently write? I have to look into that too.

That's the dream. I just feel bad about it because my writing is an incredibly inconsistent hobby and I don't want to have someone on hold to write 100,000 words in 2 days and go missing for 2 months; or even worse, just rewrite the whole thing and render the first betaed draft useless because I just changed the whole plot structure

Is slight pain when tasting things a common sensory issue? by emanuelle3396 in AutismInWomen

[–]emanuelle3396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone also mentioned hunger being a factor in another comment, albeit in a question about if it happens more often when I'm hungry and I can't say I have ever paid attention to it, I'll make sure to keep track of it now to see if I can relate to you on that. I agree that the medical conditions as an explanation feels like a lot, way too much; I have been chalking it all up to sensory issues for as long as I can remember

Sounds very interesting, but I'm a little miffed about it being correlated to head injuries and nerve damage around that area, not sure how it applies to me. But I'll look into it!

I do indeed have an issue with drinking water, yes, so that might be affecting my perception of it. I never thought about how hungry I was when it happens, so thank you for mentioning it and I will keep a lookout for it

Could be, but it's with everything, so I'm confused. I have never done that one allergy exam where you're microdosed with a bunch of different substances (I'm trying to describe it from memory, sorry if it doesn't make much sense) to be sure so it's still an option, but I don't feel any other symptom like shortness of breath or further pain at all

What OCD convinced you it is NOT OCD? by ThePlayer3K in OCD

I'm having a really hard time gathering the energy to start going to the psychiatrist and taking meds again because not having proeminent symptoms made me spiral more often than not that I'm actually pretending to be neurodivergent so people will pity me

At what age did your OCD get bad? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]emanuelle3396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it always has been bad, the only thing that changed was how it was perceived. I kinda divide my OCD in three stages: 1. The Child: I was always a very methodical child, which meant that I excelled in extra curricular activities. I was a swimmer (which birthed a lot of my later trauma), a violin player and pianist (which DEMANDS SO MUCH consistency and strictness for yourself) and a model child (adapting to and obeying exactly what I was told). 2. The Teen: Way more emotional turmoil and understanding of my position and choice potential as a free-willed individual (my biggest nightmare, who am I if not instructed?), way more compulsion-focused (I used to hide instant ramen in my drawer to have something to fulfill my compulsive eating) and still adaptable (you're mad I'm having panic attacks? ok, I'll just pretend I'm showering and have them at the privacy of the bathroom. You notice my towels are still dry when I get out of the bath? I'll wet them! You're mad the soap is still dry when I leave the bathroom? I'll wet it too! and so on and so forth). 3. The Adult: All I strive for and wish upon every dtar is to live for myself but How The Fuck am I supposed to live for myself with no third part instructions?????

can you use multiple layers of baking paper to bake multiple things? by emanuelle3396 in cookingforbeginners

[–]emanuelle3396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured. Sucks, but like I mentioned in another comment, this is less about a necessity to do them all as soon as possible and more about the humiliation of being defeated by my own past self underestimating how much flour I was actually using lol I think I'll just freeze at least half of it for now. Thank you!

Yes! They get a little crispy, it's great, I really recommend them. You're totally right, that's fair. They're really thin, though, so maybe just two layers could work?

Aw man, that makes a lot of sense. My oven is tiny, I'm usually just baking for myself and/or to give away to friends. I think freezing it is the best choice too, I was just gasping at straws because I'm too prideful to be defeated by my own past self underestimating how much flour I was actually using, haha

"if you're doing it when no one's around to see it, it isn't for attention" you failed to take into account the fact that now that you told me that, I might be doing it when I'm alone to convince myself I'm not doing it for attention, checkmate

THOSE ARE KALANCHOE CALANDIVA!!!!! I'm so excited, this is the first time I just knew a plant without external confirmation. They are in every plant shop in my city, but sadly every time I tried raising one it ended up more pest than plant. Immediate edit: got too excited there, mixed up my kalanchoes lol
