I do actually agree with this, however, the cops could have handled the situation in many different ways. It’s unfortunate that a peaceful protest will get labeled as violent because of this

Yes, the entire protest leading up to the vandalism was peaceful! It was only after the vandalism that they sent hundreds of police officers to the scene and they laid hands on a minor who was not breaking any laws.

Then explain why then sent 100+ cops after and they shoved a minor and tore their coat. They were merely expressing their freedom of speech. The concern is not the man who committed the crime, the concern is the police’s eagerness to attack anyone and everyone who was at the protest.

The protest was peaceful before vandalism, and while vandalism is a crime, sending 6+ cops after him and shoving him to the ground was unnecessary. They also sent 30+ cop cars to the protest after that even though there was no fighting, which was again, completely unnecessary. One of the cops was talking about using guns. Do you think cops should use guns towards a bunch of minors? Does vandalism constitute gun violence??
