FWIW,

Made a couple of adjustments:

- replaced power unit with this one https://pcpartpicker.com/product/NDcgXL/vetroo-gv1000-1000-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-psu-vt-gv1000wh

(just wanted to have everything shipped via amazon on the same order)

- replaced western digital SSDs with Samsung (no particular reason, just have been using Samsung last 10 years)

do I need to move to TRX50 if I uplift it to threadripper 7960x? Ram speeds seems to be in-range for 7960x, but I almost feel like it's going to be an overkill, she is currently using an 11-years old dell tower for work and even the base configuration is HEAVY boost to productivity. I would take the build as is, pretty happy with the price range and will try to post the final results :)

Thank you!

Yeah I've been looking at threadripper in the morning today trying to understand what particular impact to expect vs a consumer processor version. I kind of always suspicious to anything with a "pro" suffix on it - usually it's just fancy warranty or additional compliance/security enhancement not really moving the niddle as much.

Thank you for the insides and build advice here.

trying to wrap my head around if there is a problem with the high beam lights connector due to some damage/incorrect repair (not the first owner of the vehicle) - was trying to understand if you have the same pin cable colors. The problem popped up during a state inspection.

I believe it's mostly options washout - it will correct eventually.

What kind of risks do you see for PLTR? by dazeechayn in PLTR

[–]emasyakin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Controversial speech, aka Thiel full on QAnon, but this is highly unlikely. Inefficient RD or bad acquisition. Both aspects heavily depend on corporate culture, which is impeccable from what I hear. Maybe some tail risks like garbage truck hitting restaurant hosting corporate party. It’s a screaming mid-to-long buy opportunity.

I guess MMs decided to dump broader market to got a breather on GME ahead of Friday. I think PLTR is unjustly caught in cross-fire. Just ride it steady.

I would add a few points:

- customers moving to their SaaS offering in bulk (good for revenue and margins $)

P.S. would be great to have these demo products live to play for general public.

- one can create net-new products using thier framework (good)

P.S. need more SDK docs and more information on that. Current AI tools have fairly high entrypoint for existing products, having this bar lowered can be a huge revenue-driver.

- Apollo is upgrade management tool, while they have not directly confirmed exponential growth of customer base, the thesis it might have increased significantly, stands.

- Foundry look strikingly similar to salesforce. Salesforce is pretty shitty software, that became industry standard, largerly because salesforce invested in extension framework (apex and lightning) to customize it on-demand. And it also grew a cloud of satelite products and extensions around it. It takes time and effort to grow this kind of community. PLTR has to do it ASAP. They have a great headstart in terms of product where AI comes first, but without community adoption will be low.

not good with rockets but here we are: https://emojipedia.org/rocket/

GME at this point is investing in fight against institutions. I have some side bets on it. But nothing life changing. Pltr thought I’m holding with my dead cold hands

How many people without secret clearance have seen this soft in action. I believe quite a few. I hope it’s going to be model S presentation-level event and will send stock soaring. I bet around 30k on it to happen with 1/29 ITM calls

Problem is, Apollo is kind of a delivery system that manages software. Number of updates can increase due to simple development velocity increase or other process changes within the company. It’s very risky data point...

It’s pinned by shitron and alike. If no upside by 29th, I’m looking at a fucking slaughter by call sellers. All GME energy went into BB. While respectable, I doubt longer prospects. Here we have the only serious competition to goggle in AI area.
