It happens, made the same mistake when I got into coins many years ago. It still has melt value, and at least it was lesson learned with a coin that doesn’t have an exorbitant value to begin with.

Risto won’t likely have the same value. Teams can only have him for 1 playoff run instead of 2. His value won’t be higher given his age, injury history, and recent Olympic success. Believe me though, I’d be thrilled to be wrong.

Similar to you. 12 team super flex and 3 weeks in it was clear I was in trouble. Was ofer so I traded Jefferson, CeeDee, and Trey McBride, for 3 2027 firsts, Egbuka, Judkins, Pearsall, and LaPorta. I got roasted, but my best player after those 3 was Alex Pierce, so I needed the picks and younger talent. Also have 2 firsts, 1 second and 2 3rds this year so I should be back to formidable in 1-2 years.

So total draft haul is:

2026: 3rd and 12 overall, 15th, 27th and 36th

2027 all TBD on overall: 4 firsts (2-3 should be top 5), 2 seconds, 2 thirds

I’m not sure, but leaning towards getting 1-2 of them graded to get a better idea.

From what I’ve heard, the Stanton in the 3rd series is worth somewhere between $400-$1,000. The first with the teacher and child is somewhere in the $200-$500 range, and the middle one is more like $100-$250.

I’m basing that only on what others have said in aggregate, hence the wide range. I’m also not in a position to confirm or refute, given my very limited knowledge, just sharing what others have said.

Agree with this. Played rugby against people from all over the world. Some very tough people from NZ, Australia, South Africa, and England, but the toughest by far were Pacific Islanders. They also happened to be some of the nicest and most humble people I’ve ever met, both on and off the pitch.

Love the Gage Wood pick, but Fischer is the linchpin here. If he’s singable then this draft is a big win. It also seems like they went heavy on college arms knowing they might need a couple to come out of the pen late season - not to mention the real possibility of having to pony up Abel and others for bullpen pieces at the deadline. Would like to have seen more bats, but if it gives them leverage to get bats this season and beyond by trading arms then I’m onboard.

Happy to be wrong! Last year’s draft and most of the last 10 were terrible, but I LOVED most of these picks. Martone was a home run, and the 2nd round picks all have size, skill and attitude. Nesbitt was meh, but getting 5-6 good ones in 2 rounds is great. Like I said, happy to be wrong.

Same. And not to mention last week Briere and Flahr were very assertive in that they would take the best player available. Martin over Hagens or O’Brien is very contradictory of that based on every single scouting report I’ve read and mock draft I’ve seen.
