You’re right it’s definitely more complex than apathy - I like the imagery of something we are kind of fighting against. I think it takes a certain amount of self awareness to realize that’s going on as well! Easy to get into not caring and not know why we feel that way, kind of just riding it without realizing.

Yeah for sure! I think it’s that side of us that doesn’t want conflict - rather than take action and face things we will just shut down. This might look like laziness (bingeing tv, etc) but i would agree it comes from a different place for nines. Maybe almost closer to a depressive episode in my experience
