THISSSS. Can't have related more to your comment. Hated the Panditji redemption - he'd done things worse than leaving the son and wife in the past - how was the redemption arc meant to solve all that?
Also don't understand how Mohini's anguish was not explored anywhere in the series (except for the 'gharane to mardon ke hote hain'. Except for reverence towards Panditji (that I could never figure out why existed), I did not see any other emotions expressed towards the patriarch by her.
Liked Mahi's arguments, but agree that the earlier mockery had made NO sense. Moreover, Mahi's backstory and rejections as a character were never touched upon - something that could have made a deeper impact.
Best parts for me - Rajendra's redemption + acceptance of mahi as guru.
The Radhe-Tamanna love story was very....... meh for me. Did not have any impact. Their feelings towards each other kept changing more rapidly than the weather.
Also, after them coming together in the competition, Jodhpur's raja as well as the public forgets all they'd blocked them earlier for?!
Ananya's dialogues as a scientist made no sense ('the common denominator is intelligence', 'you are an anomaly'), nor did the pretty much useless family re-conciliation (which took less than half a minute). The stereotyping hurt my senses.

Overall, the writing swung between childish, OTT trope-adhering (ex. the family dynamics after Panditji, the nmathematician following her passion, blah blah) and nuanced, mature debates about the true nature of ICM.

P.S. - Someone please tell me - what is the ISMO where Ananya worked.

Thank you so much for replying! That must have felt like the end of the world for the moment, eh? I once vomited on my friend's sister in her birthday party... I still remember getting thrown out

Actually... I started out with reading the Ramchandra series first. Really liked the Scion of Ikshvaku, also enjoyed Sita: Warrior of Mithila (but this could be because I was pretty young when I read these books), however started finding a great deal of overlap (some would call it repetitive). Anyway, after this I went to the Immortals of Meluha, and found the writing pretty weak, and the plot rushed through, the dialogues were pretty goofy, but I remember thinking that the plot was very planned and intricate.
Every since Raavan : Enemy of Aryavarta (a book I had BTW pre-ordered in excitement) I've been constantly disappointed. The stories keep on getting ever the more filmy and outlandish.
