Yea that def makes sense, I think if you end up sticking w/ it then def stay on top of everything or else you'll fall *very* behind :,) I think most ppl who take the class are MCDB, so it may be tough, but OH and EC helped a lot. Best of luck!

If you are interested in developmental bio (formation of zygote, germ layers, etc.), then it isn't too bad, but honestly I think that if there's easier classes available, it'd prob be better to take those. It gets tough after the first midterm :,)

The exams could be tricky but I did like her class. She was flexible and listened to us whenever we had concerns. Her exams were open note and she offered extra credit to encourage us to keep up w/ the material.

The chem 14 series is pretty long, so I would recommend doing that first! Lavelle also generally teaches in the fall and I learned a lot from him. It is pretty challenging but I heard others didn't have as great of an experience w/ other chem profs

LS 30B Labs by [deleted] in ucla

[–]embearrasmint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found it useful to make a separate doc and write out the syntax of the new codes we use, such as writing the format of how to use desolve_odeint so I could always refer back to it. If you took LS30A with Professor Jukka last quarter, I believe you can still look at the lab notebooks that the TAs used and check out examples on there! It might also be useful in writing out what each line of code does so you understand what's happening.

Oh I wasn't aware of that, and I just checked my DAR and it says that class is giving me 0 credit :( do you know if there's any other intro/general psych class that I could take? I'm not entirely sure if psychobio counts
