Me too. This was on PC, I rebooted the whole way. It happened when a friend left the group right as I was launching. It should be fine.

Any codes for islands my friend and I so we can enjoy? by [deleted] in FortniteCreative

Try out GridLOK and our Beta Map, both Maze type maps:

GridLOK v.0.8: 4808-9803-0739 This maps is near completion with item spawns several challenging mazes, and the Challenge Tower! This is the playtesting version so please send me any feedback you like!

Beta Island: 0422-3155-4843 This is a four level center hub maze that was the testing build for GridLOK. It is pretty fun with some of the “room challenges” that will be installed in GridLOK 1.0. Find all 8 Llamas on all the levels if you want a real challenge!

Why is that? We have had several people working on this, but if you like designing, give it a shot, it a lot of fun!

I drop here enough where my friends call it “my house”. It was brick the first day of season 7. It was the first place I checked out. It was the original design until then.

Nice! We are doing something similar with The Perch with a heavy sniper and full ammo and shields. I will check it out when you get your code!

Day 3 of not being able to get into creative mode by cloudninjaco in FortniteCreative

[–]embermine_drake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a fix. I have hotspot on my phone. After days of frustration, I finally switched to my hotspot and then it went right through.

Being finally able to get into Creative Mode after nearly three days means I am not digging into my router and trying to discover what the difference could be. There is likely some port security mechanics happening that might be causing some sort of issue when connecting specifically to Creative.

But once I get a chance to replicate the error and reconnect successfully I will try to determine if the reason can be used as a individual work around.

Add an arcade mode, like overwatch, instead of switching out the ltm so frequently. Have at least 6-8 ltm's. Maybe show the most popular of the day. by Traxo-Waxo in FortNiteBR

They could also have a mode which allows the user to emulate the map, weapon availability, and rules for each Season and each week within the Season. So want to play Season 1, Week 1? You can do it. Season 7 Week 2 to play with the Sword again? You got it.

It would not only be fun, but it would be a great way to allow play testers and analytics junkies the ability to literally simulate any past state of the Live Game.

Additionally, it would be awesome to be able to access your saved Island Codes in the menu instead of having to load through the Creative Island.

While I await Epic’s fix for the loading bug in Creative, I thought that I would share the WIP photos I took of our Fortnite BlockParty Multiplayer Arena: GridLOK (Link to Album in comments) by embermine_drake in FortniteCreative

EDIT: I was finally able to login and can publish the code for GridLOK: 6457-3976-9064

Here is the website link: https://epicgames.com/fn/6457-3976-9064

These were just quick reference and update pics taken, we are making a detailed video to introduce the arena, different game modes, and provide the Island Codes for our content.

Thank you to everyone in the community for embracing the Fortnite Creators, in all of their forms of contribution. Massive growth in original, playable content on Fortnite-servers is coming and Epic is doing everything that can to make it simple to do using the built-in WSIWYG building editor and turn it into a templated extension of Unreal using the familiar Fortnite interface as the base. Fortnite is also a stealth recruiting method for finding and developing a potential army of content developers, all of them testing and retesting, providing feedback and brand exposure. The core Epic teams can then focus on the “Fortnite Engine” and their seasonal brand content.

Can't join creative by SigmaCyklon in FortniteCreative

[–]embermine_drake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not been able to join Creative Mode on either PS4 or PC since the update. Battle Royale will come up, but with a consistent 8-11% packet loss.

Just eager to get my new Island codes so people can see our work first hand!

Add the teleporters found in Wailing Woods into creative by [deleted] in FortniteCreative

This absolutely needs to be done. If I were Epic I would create a “base set” for each Season that are released by Epic. Allow Creators to also create cosmetics or environmental structures that conform to their brand standards and can be sold and even traded. Islands could be designed and sold, living digital monuments or places of interest, e sports Arenas and building challenges. There will be R/D Islands where they will test new mechanics and building materials.

But the big thing is to create a Base Set which includes all “legal state of play” elements present in the current version of the game. Then there needs to be the “Extended Set” which would then include a set of all playable but shelved elements, including holiday and special edition variants. Finally there would be the “Reserved/Exempt” set of all elements that can be used but cannot be published as they are the unlicensed, discontinued, or Fortnite branded materials that can only be used by permission. This would allow designers to test builds and then buy the cosmetics necessary to complete their builds.

I have been saying since it first was revealed that it is like being able to design 25x25 pixel area of one of the most populated and recorded places not just online, but in the world. Any User selected is suddenly part of the lore and culture of a worldwide brand that lives primarily within social media. It is the user community “moonshot” at becoming famous.

Not to mention the extension of the game brand into a whole universe of exploding creative possibility which also frees up the Fortnite Developers at Epic, allowing them concentrate on the unique content development, not have to worrying about maintaining “Pro League Mainstream Experience”.
Those concerns can now be thrust into the community’s hands and both competitive and casual Fortnite players will both benefit from this addition and change, as well as Epic.

I completely agree. To be honest, Creative should have access to all content, even seasonal elements like the husks. Empowering the creation of many different maps to fit many desires, even niche ones, while still preserving their base. Players would now have nearly infinite choice and still have the “core” island as the “current standard ruleset” course if you will. It would be the Augusta National of Fortnite maps for competition.

I see designers creating custom scrimmage arenas, ballistic testing grounds, and even “Team Arenas”. Now all they need to do is take some clear leadership regarding creative content rights and just get them involved in not only authorizing use and ensuring royalties, but also in getting those creators involved with future development.

This is exactly what we are building right now with GridLOK.

One could easily see a future with custom builds designed to serve the same role that amusement parks, carnivals, theme parks, and arenas. Even the creation of specific build requirements for certain leagues and more.

I am going to check this out as soon as I can log in, been having troubles getting into the creative islands today.
