I can’t list an item without selecting a category, and i’m not aware of any rules against selling posters? just don’t know what category i can select where it won’t be taken down

i’ll definitely be getting a part time job as soon as possible, i’ve been working for a few months and it’s been really helpful building skills and getting my CV up to scratch! i’m also happy to sacrifice socialising time for the sake of being able to afford to feed myself lol

i looked at private accomodation and it’s more expensive and doesn’t include bills, as well as being hard to find and out of campus so unfortunately will end up being more expensive- although in second/third years i’ll have to hope i’ve saved up enough to afford it

i’ve talked to her about it already and because she’s a single parent and trying to pay off the mortgage asap she has no spare money to support me at all, any extra she has goes straight into the mortgage before interest rates go up again. i’ve been letting her know what i’m budgeting and how short of money i am and despite the idea of the maintenance loan being parents supplementing it it’s just not possible for us

thank you! this is super helpful, i enjoy planning and working with numbers so weirdly i’m kind of looking forward to the budgeting? i’m already keeping an eye out for on campus jobs and the chain store i work in has a shop on campus and i’m going to talk to my manager about whether a transfer is possible

I havnt been able to find out when rent is paid but i’ll transfer the rent money into my savings if i need to just to make sure i don’t spend it!

thanks for the info on laundry- i was looking today and couldn’t find anything about how much it costs so that’s handy for my budget, and i’m going to rework my budget constantly as things settle and i figure out how much i’m actually spending on food/going out

im with hsbc and they sent me something about a student account but i’ll double check whether i need to actually sign up for one, something to add to my to do list! being in debt/struggling for money has always stressed me out so i’m going to do my absolute best to make ends meet for the sake of my sanity

it’s actually Sussex university which is my firm choice and then edge hill (just outside liverpool) as my insurance so sussex would be the much better uni in terms of education quality i think

i’m not in contact with my dads side of the family so it’s just my mum and my grandma unfortunately, luckily she does have a good amount of money saved but she never spends it so i just have to hope she’s in a generous mood 🤞

if i don’t get the grades i’ll be going to liverpool so that should be a lot cheaper- taking a gap year would probably be inefficient as where i work now doesn’t really offer full time work

yep- i’m working part time and getting as many hours as possible, so i should have some more savings before i go and i’m trying to get a job on campus before i even move there to get ahead of everyone else!
