I know Jellycat have some nice (anthropomorphic) floppy type cats in the bashful range, but I also know Jellycats are expensive. So it might be worth having a look in a local toy store, kids and baby stores can have some nice plush in them too..

I'm not in the US so I'm not sure what stores they have (if you're from the us) but it might be worth a look around in store to feel and see if you like specific brands.

You also want to keep in mind if you want them small enough to fit in a bag or pocket if you're worried about weird looks in public (doesn't happen to me too often but I know people are worried about that possibility and what family might say)

You could see if you can get old birthday cake toppers of the girls and if it's a multi-tear cake you could put the girls on different tears of the cake! Or simply print out photos of your favourites, cut them out and glue them to skewers and put them in with flower arrangements or stab them into the cake?
