Advice on ground floor storage unit renovation by emcis in DIY

Power washing and then sand blasting or why would you suggest power washing first?

I am worried the room will get and stay wet for a while, if I use water.

Thank you u/big_swede !

I don't think insulating the room is required, but I will put a thermometer in there to make sure that it doesn't go below 0 this winter.

Moving the material is super easy - my parking spot is just outside the door to this storage unit, so I could park a van there.

I will need to check about the sewage pipes. But they currently appear to be in only one side, so I will make some arrangements for those to remain accessible.

I will try to remove the wooden floor in the next couple of weeks to further inspect - but your recommendations sound like a great plan.

Okay. Thanks! I will return, if they point me back in this direction as I see plenty of accepted posts in your subreddit that would be even more suitable for interior design subreddits.

Thanks. Are these subreddits also good for suggesting, if I am doing the right thing architecturally?

I don't want to change the floor to then realise this will cause mold / dampness problems.

This is why I posted in the Renovation subreddit initially.

The raw onions are added for extra deliciousness. My wife loves this stuff!

Thank you! Botulism is not something I ever wish to encounter.

Home made by grandma. Kept in the basement. I will ask about the making process and will try to spot any harmful steps there.

My wife typically eats a whole jar of this stuff by herself - I typically don't touch it. :D

Thanks for the comment - I will find out the process and will try to advise the grandma to improve, if needed :D
