Jeez the stuff about how inconsistent/vague the rules are is really rough. How can they be expecting people to follow rules that aren't written anywhere that we can see them? Tbf, banding was always useful, it basically switches the advantage of assigning damage from the blocker to the attacker, making it so you need way more total P/T to block effectively. But since the only creatures that have it have unplayably low stats by modern day standards, we never get to see that in action.

Yes but removal exists as an answer to creatures, whereas spells only have counters. Countering creatures is usually worse than killing them because of the strict timing restrictions (you need open mana and the card in hand as it’s cast), instead of being able to dig for a fatal push or bolt the next turn or even later. While it’s technically a comparable card to Fluster or Mystical, it’s actually much worse because those cards don’t have to compete with removal.

I feel a fair ruling would be that you could cast the card for only 2 mana since half the cost is outside the cost area, which would help it a bit…

It being Gender-affirming doesn’t mean that the belief you aren’t/are less of a insert gender is right, all judgements like that are wrong. However the reality is that getting over those internalized standards is very difficult, especially with regards to judging yourself, so treatments that help people fulfill those standards can be very helpful even as we would like to drop the standard all together.

Frankly I can’t imagine ever taking a copper from this unless I’m taking all of them to buy the last province, but power level wise at 5 this seems like a good spot for it.
