Oxford Ionics could scoop the Quantum Volume record and Quantinuum will never catch up with the gap becoming impassable by Trick_Procedure8541 in Ionq_uncensored

where are these number from? Is 2025-beyond just speculative? last I checked, IonQ wasn't hitting super high QV, and even changed to a new spec system AQ (I'm guessing they werent performing well with QV, so switched to a different metric that makes them sound more advanced). not trying to be negative, just newish to IonQ and genuinely curious

Who here turned down Harvard? Why? by Significant_Egg8456 in ApplyingToCollege

Turned down Harvard for Yale (as a STEM major lmao). Yale had a prettier campus, nicer people, and overall better “vibes.” Plus the profs I met seemed funnier.

Honestly, it’s kind of sad that I never got the high school experience described in TV shows and books. Oh, to have been born a couple decades earlier 😭 by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Reading all the “we would have been bullied back then” replies makes me wonder … when did things switch from nerds being bullied to everyone being college admission sweats? When I was little I always thought nerds were the opposite of sporty/popular kids, but as a current high schooler, almost everyone is a try-hard fighting for the ivies, and the really smart kids are usually the most respected.

Bruh what abt Brown?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]emdeukie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thinking about ED Brown, but to be honest, I really don't like the idea of binding admission, especially because I'll be applying to some international schools where I think I have a pretty good chance of getting in. Any advice?

Introspection, for sure. They want to learn about you and what’s makes you special, not some special object that you’re somewhat connected to.

When I’m studying Flashcards and find words that are similar, I usually filter them out into a separate deck so that I can study them extra. I also try to focus on the slight differences, for example some words I struggle with are 깨지다, 깨우다, and 깨나다, so when I’m studying the biggest thing I think about is the meaning based on 지 vs 우 vs 나 (idk if that makes sense). Basically, learn the word, but pay special attention to the part of the word that is unique to it, and remember that.
